I love my Makita cordless drill and driver. I also have a cordless Makita circular saw and on a bigger project, one battery charger just isn’t enough to keep up. So I thought I would try the POWITEC DC18RC 18V Lithium-Ion Rapid Charger Compatible with Makita 18V Battery. The charger is feature rich with all the indicators on the charging panel. It charges my brand-name and off-brand batteries just like the name-brand charger. The charger is quiet. If you need a Makita charger that works for 4.4 to 18 V-DC batteries, I recommend this charger from POWITEC.

Charges the battery very quickly. It works great and as intended. It's made very well and is good quality. Defiantly would recommend getting this.

It has no issues charging my Makita compatible knock-off battery packs, which is fantastic as the knock-off scene's really gone up in quality when it comes to tools I've gotten to try in these last several months, but MAN! I HATE that there's no way to turn off the little music/tone clip it plays at the connection/completion of a battery/charge session. Like, come ON guys! Fire whoever thought that was enough of a selling point to actually implement without a toggle switch for those that hate it! At the time of writing, it's only ~$20, which is fantastic for a charger handling what it does. ...even if there's that silliness to deal with. If you've got a bunch of compatible batteries & need a cheap charger, this one's got what it takes to get it done, though loudly.

This charger works well on Makita 18V batteries. The audible notification when a battery is connected is nice and can be turned off if not wanted. The display is quite complicated and there are many options and symbols and lights and sounds. Most chargers simply accept a battery and start charging with a light to indicate charging is occurring and charging has completed. This one has all sorts of lights that can be a bit overwhelming...but it still works fine.

Inexpensive charger for Makita batteries. It feels a little flimsy in places so I tried "roughing it up" by dropping it onto the counter, dropping an old broken battery on it, etc. I didn't drop it onto the floor but you get the idea. I was trying to simulate the crazy things that happen on my work bench. The charger didn't fail, nothing broke, and it still works. It charges my batteries fine. The little song it plays helps you know it recognized the battery when you put it in the charger. Also when it's done charging. It's nice to have a 2nd charger so I can charge 2 at once now.

This is a full size single slot charger, it's a good quality device.Plastic case is solid, slot is secure. To me there is an odd thing that seem strange at first but then made sense. Charger has a tiny speaker that plays a tune when a battery is dropped into the slot, and when the battery is charged. It made sense because the slot mechanism has a lock click and if the battery is not seated all the way then it's not charged. Music tune plays only when the battery is fully seated, and that's a great way to make sure that the battery is fully seated. It also makes sense for the tune to play when charging is complete. If I'm waiting for the battery to charge while doing something, I am much more likely to hear a tune being played rather then an LED turning green, so it's a great feature that all my other charges do not have.overall this is solid aftermarket charger with great features, easy 5 stars

They've recently acquired a few knock off tools that use Makita-style batteries. Unfortunately, none of them came with chargers! Fortunately that standard has been around for a very long time and chargers are easy to find. This charger was clearly designed and built with cost in mind. Forever, for the price, there is really not much to complain about. When you first insert a battery, it plays a short piece of music - which I thought was cute. I've never seen that before. I had to read the directions again to understand that the steady red light meant that it was charging the battery from a very low State. The steady red and green lights illuminate when it reaches a higher charge. The charger claims to have all of the important safety features and I see no reason to dispute that. Because I am using a knockoff charger to charge knockoff batteries, these are very important! The one, minor criticism that I have is that it would be nice if the charger had a method of mounting it to a wall. Other chargers that I own have little keyhole slots on the back which enable freeing up valuable bench space. (My workbenches always seem to fill up instantly anyway...)For the price, it's hard to argue that this charger isn't a great value. It has all the features that I need and does a good job charging batteries that I seldom use. If I were invested in the Makita ecosystem, I might look for a rapid charger but, since I am not, this one does the job that I need!

This Powitec store battery charger for Makita batteries is a good charger if you use Makita cordless power tools. I like that you can use it on 14.4v to 18v batteries. The 18v battery I use goes on easy and comes off easily too. It charges up the battery in good time with no issues. It has a good LED display to advise you on status of charge and it has good battery protection system built-in. It's working great for me.
