Brief Description
- This is a quartz timer,mechanical hour meter,it only has the function of accumulating the total working time.
- It needs to connect an external power supply,voltage range is DC6V-80V,such as DC12V,24V,36V,48V,60V,72V.
- Its timing mechanism contains a quartz oscillator which provides a high degree of accuracy.
- It can be used for tracking time on machinery such as generators,snowmobiles,lawn mower,boats,cars,trucks,fork lifts,tractors,compressors,golf carts or any other device where time is used to determine oil change intervals, service requirements or where there is a need to record hours operated.
Hour Meter Function
- It only record the total running hours.
- The timing range is 0.0-99999.9H.
- The red color digit in white background,every 6 minutes rolls 1. When it rolls to 9 and after next 6 minutes,the hour meter will show 00001.0(Which means it has worked 1 hour)
- The total running hours can not be reset manually,only when it reaches to 99999.9H,and after 6 minutes,it will roll to 00000.0.
Hour Meter Installation
Cut the Mount Hole
- The installation method of this hour meter is embedded,need to cut a mount hole of the machine firstly.
- The panel cut-out size is 38mmx25mm.
- The distance between the two installation holes is 45mm.
- The thickness of the panel must be at least 2mm,otherwise it will cause loosening.
Insert the Hour Meter
- Insert the hour meter into the panel hole.
- Thread the two mounting holes with screws from the front and secure with nuts from the back.(screws and nuts are not included in the package)
- Finally, secure the hour meter from the rear with the mounting bracket.
Hour Meter Connection
- The hour meter has two pins,one is positive +,another one is negative -,you can view the marks above the pins.
- You have to connect the positive + pin to the external power +,connect the negative - pin to the external power -.
- Please make sure the external power is in the range of DC 6-80V.If the voltage is lower or higher,it will not work.
Not Waterproof
- The surface of the hour meter is not completely sealed,water can seep from the surface into the inside of the hour meter,causing it to break.
- Please do not use it underwater or fully exposed to rain.You can't even rinse it directly with a water gun.
- The part of the pins is completely sealed.

Got this to replace a dead hour meter in a 1968 wheel horse lawn tractor. Wasn't an exact replacement for the old airguide, had to use a file to open up the existing hole a few thousands on the top, bottom, and sides. It is polarity sensitive, and of course the opposite of the old airguide wiring. Works perfect once installed, it's ticking away the 10ths.

I installed this on my generator so that I could keep an eye on its usage. This meter installs easily, and it is accurate. I've used it for about 10 hours at this point, and it has been dead on with its reading. Would definitely recommend if you're looking to keep an eye on your hours, which is crucial for maintenance.

It's been on my zero turn mower for a few months now and it seems to be pretty accurate. I left the key on and set a timer to check it and it was right on target.
