This is a good belt and I have already ordered another as a spare. I read a review that this belt failed soon after install. Mine is working perfectly after four tough hours of tilling. I think the buyer installed the new belt but failed to reset the friction block. After a belt is stretched and worn, you have to tighten the belt by lowering the friction bar to keep the tiller working. Then when the old belt fails, we install a new one but don’t reset the friction bar. If you don’t reset the friction bar and then engage the drive at the old setting, the belt will be too tight and being over stressed, will fail. Reset the friction bar.

After installing belt and adjusted it would still slip I believe the belt is to narrow for application of a work horse tiller the w one I got at tractor supply worked great

I used it for less than a half hour and it wore down into the pulley enough that I couldn't adjust pulley spacing enough to tighten it. It is a poor substitute for the genuine Troy Bilt belt.
