Cheaper plastic, not sure how long it will last. Easy to put in even with the original being 2" larger. Only problem i had was with some of the plastic holes not being punched out. I had to use an exact knife to cut the plastic out for the grate to stay in place and for the shutter door to work. Only one hole out of 6 was actually cut out right.

I bought for my cabin to put on the end of my air exchange pipe. Wanted something to keep wind and weather out.This is seriously a crazy buy. $4 each?! I though msybe I paid $8 each, which would STILL be a good deal!The metal tube IS attached to the plastic, it comes apart if you pull REALLY hard. There is also a flap on the inside that is one way. That surprised me.For my purposes I ripped off the metal tube and stuck the end on my pvc pipe. One I had to cut the collar off to get it to sit somewhat flush. Not a big deal.I will spray these brown later to better match my cabin. Plan to buy for my dryer later when I build a house.Seriously, if you are complaining about a $4 full system dryer vent, you don't have much better things to do...

The vent this one replaced was a triple louver style that became brittle from uv radiation which let birds in. This vent works well, but the included piping is about half as thick as what i had previously. So, like others, i'd suggest removing and tossing it.

The price was just over five bucks and they work like a charm. Easy to install and look nice.

El material pese a ser barato se ve bien construido y bien diseñado, sin embargo, en mi compra me encontré con el inconveniente de que no venia el aro de plástico, si bien no es tan necesario, no venia completo, tampoco traáa el instructivo, era la pieza a granel. Me hubiera gustado que la hoja de aluminio viniera desmontada, pues resultó ser muy largo para el grueso de mi pared y cortarlo en forma de tubo y no de hoja, resulta un tanto difícil. Superados los problemas, recomiendo la pieza, para el precio esta bastante bien.

Does what it is supposed to. Very easy to install as I had an existing dryer opening in place. Fit perfectly, weather sealed the outside and voila! Has an inner flap that keeps out cool air and opens when dryer is in use. Critter cage blocks anything from coming in the bottom. Tin is thin and can be cut if needed. This fit my home which is brick on cinder block, perfectly.
