I chose the entire set to put into my house as it was being built. So, it was the contractors that originally installed the fixtures. The tub spout began a leak which, over time, became larger and larger. So, at 8 years after installation I decided to replace it. I had seen the reviews on Amazon that it was plastic. So, I assumed the inside was plastic and the outside was metal.However, to my surprise, the entire tub spout is plastic. Both the old one and the new one.So, yes, this is a plastic fixture. However, it looks quite real (like metal). So, if you don't mind plastic this is a great product. The new spout works great!I wanted to give it a 4 because it is plastic, but I can't because it is as it's described and it works perfectly.

Very easy to install, and water flows smoothly and without leaks! Made me feel like a handyman without actually having to do much work. :)

its a nice faucet. i caught my cat peeing on my old one whoopy doop!!!! It was too nasty to keep my faucet like that. I bought this one!!!! It works just fine!!!! Its so attractive that my other faucets and everyone else will just fall for it. Not letting my grandaughter around it LOL.

As a plumber I really like how this is installed. the adapter allows you to thread the spout on all the way up to the wall easily and be secure and leak free. I hate other spouts that use a set screw that tighten up to the copper pipe.Also this spout could be easily changed out in the future.
