The umbrella is much darker than pictured. It is crimson, not red. To me, it looks kind of weird with crimson/white. It is not ugly, just use to seeing crimson/cream or red/white, not crimson/white. It comes with a bag for storage and opens and closes easily. It has not been used yet, so I am not able to address how well it holds up during rain.
