This is great for people just starting out. The only thing I wish it had was a whip finish tool and head cement. The lack of head cement isn’t a big deal because you can use sally hensens hard as nails.

As another reviewer mentioned, this kit doesn't include some of the basic items such as lead wire and glue that the included instructions reference. When an item is described as having everything you need to get started, but doesn't even include items referenced in the instruction guide, I immediately began to doubt the overall quality of the kit. Vise also seems pretty flimsy. Returned kit the next day.

I know nothing about tying flies. This kit had good reviews, so I got it for my boyfriend who lost of of his old supplies a few moves ago. He is very happy with it. Its not top quality, but its a great starter kit, and you can upgrade on piece a time as needed.
