Well-made device. At 3 inches it's pretty small, so make sure that's the size you want. But its precision built and performs well for appropriate tasks.

This caliper looks a bit rough but the measurements are spot-on. I compared this to a calibrated digital caliper and a 25 mm calibration reference with the external diameter/width measurement feature. The 25 mm was accurate to at least three decimal places and with a little practice, I can get readings consistently within about +/- 0.03 mm of exact. The listing says it has dual dimensions, but it only has metric. It's handy to have a small caliper like this that doesn't take up much more room than a small ruler.
