I kept getting a mass Air flow sensor code on my 2010 mazda 5. I wanted to stick with OEM but parts store wanted almost $200 for this Denso MAF. I got it for almost half here and plugged right in. It did not fix the problem but that's because I also needed to do my MAP sensor. I did that and now all is good. I did Keep the Denso MAP sensor as mine was the original and already had about 170k miles on it. So it made sense to keep the new one.

It helps your engine run smoothly by measuring the air that goes into it. With this sensor, your car can adjust its fuel mix for better performance and efficiency. Plus, it's easy to install and built to last. If you want your car to stay in top shape

The part fit correctly and it immediately solved the problem. However, it stopped working at exactly one year, and just because of less than a handful of days, I am unable to qualify for the warranty.

Had rough idle on my car and after cleaning my original MAF saw a huge difference in idle and no more hesitation while accelerating on my Mazda 5. It came back again so instead of just cleaning it out again I bought a new one.The reason this part fails is due to excess carbon on the air intake. You need to clean out your throttle body too, otherwise you risk premature failure on the new MAF.I cleaned out the throttle body, replaced the MAF, then reset the ECU, relearned the idle and the car has been running strong almost like new again. This is great as I thought I had a transmission issue. It's just two screws and a wire, so very easy to do if you just want to replace the MAF. I ended up losing one of my screws, so be careful when you remove it, as it's just housed in plastic.I'll probably end up cleaning the throttle body more often on this car in hopes I don't have to buy another MAF.

Works with a 2007 Mazda 5 2.3L model to clear a P2177 trouble codeI was getting for a long trip and as I was driving do a check engine light. Drove back home and plugged in the scan tool Read a P2177 code. Online listed a bunch of potential problems and the first thing listed was Mass air sensor. The car has 165,000K when the light came on but prior to that was running poorly and shook a little at idle. I happen to have this part on hand and figured it was a easy fix to try. I did not erase the trouble code but just swapped the Mass air flow sensor that took around 5 min. Drove for 2 days various times of the day and on the third day the light went off. So in reply to the person who didn't know what he was talking about that this does not work in a Mazda 5 is WRONG. It does work and I have confirmed it.So if you get a P2177 system Too Lean Off Idle Bank 1 - OBD Codes give this sensor a try. Thanks and take care.

El sensor dejo de funcionar después de 45 dÃas que lo puse y se volvió a encender el testigo de ckeck engine en el tablero, Tenia muy buenas opiniones y por eso lo compre pero no duró nada. Prácticamente tiré el dinero a la basura.

this one fits perfectly into my Mazda 3 SP from the year 2005. It seems it addessed my issue of engine not running correct ( strange behaviour when accelerator pedal is pressed just a touch the engine starts to jerk in all gears and at different speeds ).But it seems cleaning the original one did the same job. Unfortunately I was not able to find a pig tail connector at Amazon which fits this MAF ( maybe it exists ). But a search at the Masda forum showed a link to an eBay seller which sells one for Toyota cars which fits perfectly. I recommend to spend these $14 in addition to addresse intermediate issues on the engine running. So far my engine is running fine.Remark: however the engine set up seems is in general relatively picky on moisture in the air which leaves a not correct "feeling" sometimes when the engine is still cool. I guess this is normal.

These things are hard to clean properly, and the heating element tends to fail slowly over time, affecting your fuel/air mix. Was a super-easy (two screws) drop=in replacement on my Mazda; took all of 5 minutes. Noticeable change in the idle right afterward.Denso makes quality products.
