Denso is the OEM manufacturer. I spoke to a senior tech at Denso to find out how much Pag oil comes in the compressor from the factory because there's so much wrong info out there. He said 2.7oz, so i emptied the new compressor to verify, and swap out factory Pag for Pag with green dye which manufacturers are making standard now. I measured 65ml (2.3 oz) of Pag oil with a syringe that came out of the compressor, so the Denso tech was correct. The Honda Manual says almost 7oz of Pag oil total for the system, so because I replaced my rotted out condenser, I'll need to measure out another 135ml (4.3oz) of green Pag oil and split that amount into both ports of the condenser to spread the oil around the new parts of the system. The Denso Tech firmly stated, if you don't change your condenser, Denso will not honor any warranty. BE SMART, AND EMPTY & MEASURE THE OIL IN THE COMPRESSOR!! I'VE HEARD MANY PEOPLE SAY INCORRECTLY THAT IT COMES WITH 5oz OF PAG OIL, I'VE VERIFIED IT'S 2.7oz. TOO MUCH OIL WILL MESS UP YOUR SYSTEM!!!

This AC compressor is the exact compressor that was in my 2004 Honda Element since it was manufactured. What a perfect fit. The only thing I had to transfer to the new compressor was the Aluminum Elbow that was on my old compressor. Perfect fit as well. Wiring Harness, exact fit. It also came with the oil already inside of the compressor and it came with three O rings. One for the H side one for the L side and one for the Aluminum Elbow. I only had to prime the compressor by turning the compressors clutch as per instructions. The compressor was installed, put the Freon in it and it is working perfect. Also would like to add if it's ok with Amazon is that the price was the lease expensive price I could find for a Brand New AC Compressor. Thank you Amazon! Thanks for reading.

Was a Direct OEM replacement for my 2004 Honda Element. Got it recharged and the car blows COLD!! Very DIY just as long as you remove the compressor from the bottom vs the top.

2023 update: Still working as it should, not touched or thought about since install.Original 2019:Not much to say other than works in my 2004 Element, forget to check country of origin but it was a new Denso. Came with ?ounces (maybe 3-4) oil in the compressor along with 3 o-rings (only used 2 rings). Easy enough DIY if you have a floor jack, x2 stands, AC manifold, vacuum pump. Watch youtube video for trick of dropping sub-frame (support engine/tranny with floor jack, unbolt front engine mount, remove front two subframe bolts, loosen back to subframe bolts) to get easy access to the pump's four bolts and pull the pump out over the downward displaced front end of the subframe. Before jacking remove serpentine belt and supply/discharge lines from top of compressor. To get to top of compressor and front engine mount need to remove upper radiator supports x2, radiator overflow jug, and condenser fan. Few hour job if you're not in a hurry.
