These are good quality tri clamp strainer gaskets. I got the 60 mesh to trap any bits of debris when I am running a santizer cycle on my fermenters. The 60mesh is perfect for trapping incidental debris where you are expecting an otherwise clean stream. This will also add some resistance but this should be expected. Why run a strainer gasket in this situation, well, inevitably environmental debris can get into your cleaning solution including bits of hair. By preventing this from entering your pump, you help ensure you maintain a clean environment and ensure that you don't just recirculate small bits of debris which could be a point of infection later.They seal perfectly and the mesh is perfectly embedded into the gasket material without any poke through. I am happy with their performance!

These are well made gaskets with embedded stainless screens. I ordered the 10 mesh which seems to have about 10 square openings per inch.Good for adding some chunk filtering to anywhere you have a tri-clamp connections.Recommended.
