I was under the impression that it was for a 3 1/2 inch exhaust but it’s 3 1/2 inches long. So deceitful in the pics. Whatever but can’t suggest using this at all on your bike.

Solved the issue of my pants burning on the exhaust but now the heat is forced up from the exhaust making it very uncomfortable to ride in summer months so I took it off my bike and used heat tape/wrap instead.

I wish I had purchased this heat shield before taking the time to remove my full exhaust and wrap with a heat shield wrap.I had burned my right calf on my Freedom Exhaust (already had a skin graft there) and bought some wrap to try to keep the heat off of my right leg. Anyway just recently I burned my leg on the same spot again and knew I had to find another answer. This shield was more expensive that the metal or plastic? Heat shields and it looks really great to me.Installation was easy. You bend it to confirm to the diameter of your pipe, and tighten straps. I went riding today and I could put my hand on the heat shield with the exhaust pipe hot and felt little heat. Highly recommended, not cheap but I think this is a great answer to a hot pipe.

Really excellent product and looks good. Helps keep me from burning my lower leg on my exhaust pipe One thing though is with the way the bracket is welded, you can't get a nice round or cylinder. It stay flat in the middle and the top and lower edges is what can actually bend into shape. Overall very happy with it

The product arrived when promised. I like the look on the bike! There is very little heat transfered to the surface of the heat shield. I placed it over the location on the exhaust that I contacted a few times with my leg. I can tell when I contact the shield, but do not feel any heat or see any marks on clothing. The shield is not intrusive. Overall, very pleased with the purchase. If any issues develop over time, I will update my review.

Great product, easily bends to shape for any diameter pipe. The metal frame does get fairly warm but nowhere near as hot as the actual pipe (trust me on that one...)

Works as it should, I have used DEI products in the past on turbo manifold and down pipe. Can't go wrong with their products.This was just a precaution to getting my boot and/or pant burned from the header.

Put this on our 2016 Harley Davidson Street 750 on top of the existing heat shield. Anyone who has one these bikes knows that's the boot melting area. Easy to install. Had to pre bend it a little as it comes flat. Works great, after a day of riding you can touch it with your bare hand and it is only warm, going to save boots, pants and skin.
