This is a very good addition for your C6 corvette, it eliminates by 80% the heat that is produced near the armrest, something very common in these cars. I am very satisfied with the result, 100% recommended

I had high hopes that this would reduce temperatures inside my C6 corvette, but after a short drive around town, it is still 125 degrees in the center console and the sides of the tunnel are over 100. Seems like zero effect at all. A waste of money and time.

It would be a better product if the largest piece wasn't folded. Delaminates at the bend trying to flatten out. Shipped FLAT would be a better product

Best to remove cover plate then install the insulation and the reinstall the plate.

Very substantial part especially compared to the stock tin part. I used this along with thermal insulation and it is much cooler in the console area. I also immediately noticed an increased stiffness as I backed out of my driveway apron onto the street, the targa top creaked less. Have not had it on the track yet after installing but on the road I can really feel the difference.

This product is fantastic. The shielding greatly reduced the temp of the trans tunnel. Before, using the product I estimate that the trans tunnel would reach temps over 100F/38C. After, installing the shielding I believe the trans tunnel temps are 85F/29.5C. It was each to install. First I cleaned the surface, and start installing at one end and pull the backing as you install the shield. Relief cuts allow the shielding to be applied to the contorted shape of the trans tunnel.

Purchased the DEI kit to help reduce interior temperatures around the tunnel/center console area in my 2011 Callaway supercharged Z06. Instructions were pretty clear, although the they stated the pieces were labeled, which they were not. Very easy to determine which piece goes where. Was able to install with just disconnecting the x-pipe from the cats & the center exhaust hanger, no need to remove the x-pipe completely. Hoping this kit combined with interior heat-reducing material really cuts down on the tunnel heat.
