Seems to be problem free with Detroit Axle and struts seem to be okay too. The top mount plate is misaligned out of the box but you can rotate it by hand. You only need to compress the spring if you need to remove the top mount plate. Will install and see.

These work well and drive very nicely. After quotes over $1,000 to install these, I decided to do them myself, very carefully. The install went well, with good instructions and good old YouTube giving good visuals of the task. Obviously, you need a torque wrench, because these have to be to spec due to safety. Other than a problem removing one of the old struts due to a bolt on the top being stripped slightly, these went on with little trouble. I took extra time to be sure i was doing it all right, and then went back and checked torque before closing it all up. These drive like we have a new car.

I can not say it enough. Detroit Axle products are the best for the job! Nowhere else can you get the great quality and less than OEM price than these guys. Best value for the money hands down. I have had this installed on our 2010 Toyota Camry for couple of months and it is still a smooth ride.

I had these professionally installed on my 06 toyota avalon and I regret purchasing these. Everytime I turn now or go over a speed bump or pull in my driveway I have all kinds of weird sounds from these struts. Weird sigh like sounds and even of all things it sounds like I have a duck that quacks once in a while where the front left strut is when I pull in the driveway. Sounds funny but is the only way I know how to describe it. My car also rides like crap, feels un-natural and does not feel even remotely like what it did with the factory shocks on before they wore out. The wore out ones where better than these. If I had it to do over again I would have paid double for the correct oem struts so that I didn't have to put up with the awful shortcomings of this product. The price was great (less than half oem) but the outcome, the crappy, choppy ride and myriad of weird sounds do not and cannot make up for the quality of this product.
