Don't order from Detroit Axle this is how my products came looks like packaging was so damaged that company used lots of tape to keep product from falling out. And both break cleaner and break fluid were damaged

I purchased this set of brakes and rotors for my wife's 2004 expedition and I couldn't be happier. This was less than half of what the local parts store charges so I was a little apprehensive. Once the shipment arrived in one very heavy box my fear was gone. I discovered a very high quality product for a very reasonable price. everything was packaged neatly and orderly. The machining of the rotors was perfect, the fit was perfect and they didn't cheap out on the brake pads either. The pads would be considered a premium level at my local parts store. All the hardware clips and spring were included with the pads, even the grease for the caliper pins and contact points for the pads was included. brake cleaner which is needed to clean the protectant off the rotors was also in the box along with brake fluid as well. When doing the brakes on the expeditions be very careful to ensure the piston side brake pads are properly seated in the caliper piston. failure to do this will result in the inner pad dragging on the rotor, squeaky brakes and premature brake failure. Ask me how I know. the brakes are very quiet now and very smooth. Overall I feel like this is an exceptional buy for the $$ and know what brakes I'll be buying for my other vehicles.

Nice kit. No issues with the front or rear rotors. Pads went on well on the rear. and there were new pad clips for the rears included. The front pads were real tight. Had to tap the calipers with a hammer to get them set in place. The fronts didn't come with new caliper clips. Due to the thickness of the pads, had to bend the old ones so they'd clip into place.After replacing rotors and pads, and pulling all the old fluid out of the lines with new fluid, test drove with no issues.I'd probably still recommend them, but you're probably going to run into the thick pad issue which has been commented on by others. Take your time installing, bend the caliper clips if needed to lock in place. You'll be fine.Hope they hold up.

This brake and rotor kit worked perfectly for my 2004 Ford Expedition. Came with everything to replace brakes and rotors for the front and rear including brake cleaner and brake fluid. High quality, perfect fitment, and easy install. To make the install easier, both the brakes and rotors should be labeled front and rear but it can also be figured out by matching the new parts with your old parts. This is the second brake/rotor kit I’ve purchased from Detroit Axle and I would highly recommend this company and it’s durable products.

Parts look amazing and perform the same!The green protective wax on pads ,I scrape with a razor blade, spray w brke clean, install! That easy! Awesome cross hatching on the rotors. 06 Ford Expedition
