First it took a month to get here because they never shipped it, then I installed it and it failed the next day completely garbage part the driver side seal instantly failed and now the seller is ignoring me about a refund

Took on the job of replacing the R&P on my 2001 PT Cruiser. I would recommend this part, but I would not recommend attempting to do this job yourself. Buy the part, bring it to a mechanic. It is not an easy job getting the old R&P off, especially in climates where roads are salted and undercarriage rust is a factor.

The part I got was an exact remanufactured replacement of my orignal rack and pinion.After installation it seems to be working good.Issues:-One of the tie rod threading was poorly machined and was really difficult to install and adjust. I actually needed pipe wrenches to install and adjust one of them. While the other one could be installed and adjusted by hand practically.-I had scratched the repainted rack and pinion and it appeared to be rusty underneath.Fits:2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser, 2.4L NA, MT, Base model.
