I have an craftsman electric drill, it is very weak, even drill a big hole in wood plate, it will be stuck, it is garbage, I threw it. This Dewalt on the contrary, is very very very powerful, it can drill on wood, stone, concrete. I like it very much.

Although the products look solid and I expect will last long and perform well, the description is deceiving. It leads you to believe that there are two 4 amp batteries but, and look closely at the package image, there is 1, 4 amp battery and 1, 1.7 amp battery. My bad!!!!! I should have looked at the description and used a magnifying glass to see all that this comes with. In the description, they were careful to NOT give you sufficient information on the batteries, and I assumed that both were 4 amp. That kind of deceptive advertising really pisses me off. Now you know what I now know.

I've had several of these impacts over the years. Love them. First time buying this model of driver, it's well built.I own a few of the power stacks, they work well. They're a bit lighter then a regular 2 amp, and put out slightly more power. I find the run time is about the same. Maybe a little longer, Its hard to tell. Great for if you have your impact or drill in your hand all day.Everything came as described. Delivery was 3 days.

I bought this on sale as a package deal with the 1.7ah powerstack and a 5ah battery and charger.This is the higher end driver/drill combo for sure. This is the one if you are a pro or a semi pro - but if you are in those categories, you already know everything I am writing about here.This review is more for the novices or the folks getting this toolkit for their partners.If you have the money and you partner or yourself is a tinkerer or occasional user, then certainly this is one of the best kits dewalt makes (unless you also need a hammer drill which although this drill in the combo can do, dewalt has better options).However for most homeowners or occasional users who are unwilling to spend more than necessary or are on a tight budget, this kit is not for you. You are paying for a premium product and also for more powerful batteries.Instead, look for the much cheaper kit (around $200CAD or lower); beware however that that kit comes with the much smaller 1.7ah batteries that do not last as long. For occasional work of few hours they will suffice however.

It's a minor quality issue but annoying. I could not put the drill trigger in a locked position when moving the forward/reverse control button from left to right. There were no distinct clicks, and it jumped over the locked position. The feel was soft, flimsy, and cheap.
