I buy the matching 12" and 6" locking extension from Dewalt. These work great and hold up well. Under commercial use 8+ hours per day, I get about 8 months of use out of each one before the locking mechanism falls apart. This is the longest lasting brand I have had so far.

I got this primarily as an extension for my Wera screwdriver kit. I enjoy the function of the Wera to lock in the bits and this extension shares that functionality. The bits feel super secure and the impact rating makes it great for getting into tight spots. 10/10 would recommend even at a higher price point, it feels very sturdy as well.

Una excelente herramienta que me ha facilitado mucho los trabajos en casa, pero la extensión está un poco chueca al momento de ponerla en el taladro oscila y hace que las puntas se salgan de los tornillos en ocasiones.Desconozco si es un error de calidad o si hubo algún percance al momento del almacenamiento que hizo que se pandearaDejando de lado este detalle, la recomiendo ampliamente cuenta con seguro para evitar que las puntas se salgan, funcional y práctica!

I'm a milwaukee guy but this bit holder from dewalt.... they got it right. However at some point the collar has broken on me but that was after a lot of use. Love the locking mechanism the look isn't just for looks it's smooth all around so it's not fat on the end making tight spaces easy to work in.

I have these in the 3" (DWA3HLDFT) and 6" (DWA6HLDFT) versions.My introduction to this style of bit holder was through the Wiha GoBox/mini-ratchet/offset screwdriver kit. The Wiha is a bit pricier, and perhaps only slightly better built, but with a price tag that reflects that (and not available in the 6" length).In comes DeWalt with their take, and I gotta say, worth every penny. It's slim and doesn't catch on anything, so you don't have to worry about it fitting anywhere or catching on anything like bit holders that are much wider. The bits also don't get stuck inside, like other styles of locking bit holders, yet the bit retention is flawless.Truly a great design, and worth the money. Best impact-rated bit holder on the market for the money.

This is a great, slim, locking bit extension. It is the slimest one I have seen. It holds very well, a lockable bit will not come out unless you release it. 1 inch bits work great.I originally bought an identical Wiha locking bit extension for more money based on recommendation of a coworker and then I found DeWalt sells the same type for slightly less so I bought a few more DeWalt ones. The Wiha look better but, so far I have not noticed any performance difference.
