A reflex core allows 2" bits to flex up to 15-degrees to reduce breakage. I know that the fact that I am driving screws into hardwood, however, at the rate that I am going through these I fear that I will run out before I finish the project. I am installing a hardwood deck and am putting in 65mm stainless steel torx head screws. I have predrilled the holes and have countersunk the screws. The tips of these bits keep breaking and it is getting a bit furustrating. I never expected to go through so many of these things. Definitely not up to the quality I expected from Dewalt.

These are equivalent to most any other bit I've used so far that makes claims to be an "impact" type bit. That is, truthfully not really any better than a standard bit. I could run about 100 to 150 screws in with an impact driver before these bits would break. Not impressive considering you have to buy such a large quantity to find this out.
