Works great

Where has this been for so long? I like Milwaukee I’m OK with some things from Craftsman and Ryobi and Bosch. I like different things from different brands but I LOVE Dewalt. This is definitely bigger PHYSICALLY & POWER OPTION ABILITY than the Craftsman and Milwaukee inverters. But the Craftsman & Milwaukee are 150 W and 175 W respectively. This Dewalt has three options:1. A 12 V DC plug connector like the old cigarette lighter style that produces 140 W2. A battery powered option that will accept 20 V or flex 20/60 volt batteries ( yes, I’ve tried both) This yields 300 W, and Finally!,3. A battery clamp option for your automobile battery that produces 1000 W!!!!This Dewalt, neither the Milwaukee or the Craftsman can come anywhere near to.The versatility of this product makes it worth recommending, but the quality so far has met all my standards and expectations.As you can see from the pictures, the side panel says, (and I’ve tested a bunch) It will power:TVs, computers, Printers, smart phones, camcorders, laptops, large box fans, video game consoles, and the list of tools that you could use corded From belt sanders to reciprocating saws to vacuums to hedge trimmers to Sanders to jigsaws, etc. the list goes on.Obviously it varies based on the respective wattage and power source, but again the other brands are not offering the same versatility.For what it is (a little bigger but offers way more versatility), I highly recommend it!Ok!, update. It’s now 7/25/2024 and after my testing all the sudden the unit stopped working.A few red flags, THERE IS NO RESET OPTION on this unit. If it stops working it’s done. After speaking with support I was advised to return and exchange the item as this was the ONLY option. Additionally, this particular model does NOT have a serial number only a date code.😞 I regret to say that as of the time of this update I am on my 3rd unit and just plugging in a battery to it and using it to charge my tablet for the sole purpose of testing the inverter and it died immediately within 20 minutes.When I say died I don’t mean the battery, I mean the unit is now bricked and I have to exchange yet another.Support told me “sorry for the inconvenience, but you know these are new to market, so we’re gonna experience issues”, THIS IS NOT AN ISSUE, this I catastrophic failure that has no remedy and NO KNOWN CAUSE.I’m going to have to lower my star rating on this product until dewalt addresses the issue. I can’t be exchanging units everyday and I’m disappointed in Dewalt for allowing this. I’m hopeful they will listen and let me speak to the highest tier of support available to remedy this issue before this product develops a reputation that it can’t recover from.I had to go back to my Milwaukee topoff and I really prefer Dewalt as a brand but this has been a shocking let down.Dewalt PLEASE ADDRESS AND CORRECT THIS!

Used at tailgates all year, was able to run a tv, satellite, and crock pot off boat battery. If only running tv and satellite was able to use dewalt battery for four hours. Light weight and very versatile.

As the title says, I really wanted to like this product and keep it for emergency use if the power goes out, however within two weeks from when I received it, the inverter started acting up. The USB ports kept working but the outlets stopped working as you can see in the picture. The inverter has no way of being reset as the outlets don’t work. The only solution is to get a replacement, which is pretty poor design quality, especially for Dewalt. If ever they add a reset button then I’ll reconsider getting one again. But for now, one star is the most this product deserves.
