initially, I was worried about the price but after using it on the composite deck project I felt it cut board like a knife in butter

I wanted long-lasting carbide blades for my Rockwell Blade Runner (inverted benchtop jigsaw) for cutting hardwood. Diablo did not disappoint. Even though it's marketed for "composite decking", it works great for hardwood. It's a pretty smooth cut though it's not a super narrow kerf. That's to be expected.

I bought this to use on a specific project - building a new deck with Trex materials. The cuts were clean and easy.

This blade cuts through pvc decking beautifully and with ease. At first I was nervous about the price for one blade, but it has made all my hard cuts simple to make. I would highly recommend if you are installing a PVC composite decking and need to make cuts with a jigsaw.

While building an Azek composite deck I tried a fast cut wood Diablo blade first and there was a fair amount of melting of the decking. Switched to the composite blade and it cut much better with no melting. Will use on all my composite deck jobs from now on.

Honestly the wood bit I had worked just as good. If you don't have a good wood bit grab this one for trex if you already have one it's not needed

I used this blade to cut Deckorators Composit decking. It cut over 60 decking boards before it became dull and started heating up and melting the composite decking. I went through two blades on my 1,200 sq foot deck cutting around a freeform shaped pool. The second blade started to heat up so I went to Lowes and purchased a new blade (not this one from Amazon) to complete my final cuts. The new blade melted the composite on the first cut so I ordered another one of these blades and it arrived the next day. If you are going to make cuts in composite decking that requires a jigsaw then you will not make a mistake in using this blade.

Freud delivers a high quality Carbide jig saw blade for Composite decking. Ive been building over 35 years and the composite decking is hard on blades. Even regular Diablo blades dull fast and dont track straight. This blade is thicker than most T shank blades and matches the saw kerf well. Tracks straight and cuts square through the decking.
