Precautions
The surface of the test object is clean, flat and dry
Don't wear gloves
Don't detect metal
Best to measure in no wind conditions
The operating temperature is within the range of 5-35 degrees Celsius, and the humidity is below 80%
When testing diamond, your right index finger must keep touching the metal panel on the back of the tester.
Please turn off the power after the test to save power.

How To Test Diamond
Step 1
Put the battery in. Use One 9V Battery (included).
After use, turn off the power.
Step 2
Turn on the switch.
Make sure only 1 light is lighting up on the scale.
Wait few seconds for the probe to heat up until Lamp on ready OK
Step 3
Turn on the lights numbers corresponding to the indoor temperature and diamond weight.
If don't know. Set 4 lights is lighting up on the scale.
Start test diamond, no need to adjust the switch switch.
Step 4
Use the diamond discriminator probe to make 90-degree contact with the measured object, and observe the indicator light change.
It needs a little bit of force to stop it on the diamond surface and make full contact
If unsuccessful, please repeat the second step
Test result analysis
If lights >= 9 and have sounds, it is true diamond.
If lights
If lights is 7 or 8, it is true crystal.
If lights is 6 or 7, it is true jade.
If lights is 4 or 5, it is glass.
Don't test metal，Don't wear gloves.

I bought this to make sure what I purchased was actual diamonds. I rested it on fake stones just to make sure it was accurate. Worked 10/10! Great price too. Just make sure you let the tip heat up before you use it, otherwise it won’t work well.

Once you test a stone you have to wait about 60 seconds for the tester to show "ready" again and read correctly. Very frustrating if you are trying to test multiple stones. Previous testers I've owned did not have to "warm up" after each read. I am returning.

Ordered this and the first one to come in worked once on a ring and then not on anything else. Put back on the ring and it didnt work on there either anymore. Returned it and opted for another assuming the first was bad. Second one came in and it doesnt read on anything I touch. In the videos, if something is glass or not a diamond it at least lights up a little. The only time I get a read out at all, is if I touch the metal sides, which I do just to see if something works. Returning the second one now for a full refund but sadly nothing replaces the time I got to waste on this.
