I was warned by other reviewers before I bought this replacement diaphragm that there will be some minor adjustments. I was ready for shaving the outside circle to make it fit into the smaller fitting. I was not ready to cut away the black plastic housing of the horn itself to make way for the green circuit board you see in the pic. It was quite a bit of cutting. I ended up using a dremel tool that did the work. Also the ground pin is smaller so there is some basic soldering to do. The worst part of this whole experience is that when I put it all back together the horn still did not work. Now I'm thinking crossover? Taking a break, will open everything again next week!Hope this helps!

As another reviewer stated, you will have to do some minor surgery on the horn to get it to fit. The connectors on the OEM diaphragm are located on opposite sides, and the ground connector is smaller so it has to be replaced or soldered. It's no big deal if you'used to this type of work. It works well and is cost effective. 4/5 stars simply because it's not a drop-in replacement

This was very simple to replace in the KC 500. Remove speaker grill, remove horn, take apart horn (4 metric screws) and lift old diaphragm out. Replace in reverse order. It works perfectly. Better than buying the entire horn which is 50 to 60 bucks. The weird thing is that just by looking at the old diaphragm I couldn't see why it failed. But it did. Heck my eyes aren't as good as they used to be anyways.... It was delivered on time as promised and saved me allot of money. Amazon Prime is wonderful! It has already paid for itself this new year. I think it is also a wonderful thing for all the freight guys like UPS, FedEx, and the like.
