Works well. Have used it for a month now specifically for macro photography, not as a "flash" but as a continuous light. This review is based on macrophotography using the continuous light setting. You can adjust the temperature and intensity of the light. It comes with good number of popular filter sizes (read the product description -includes 8 Mounting Rings (49mm-77mm).) which allows you to screw a ring onto your camera, which then serves as a plate to easily and quickly click the ring light onto the lens. You can adjust the temperature of the light, which is very useful for balancing the light for numismatic photography as different coins need different kinds of light to render an accurate color of the coin.IMPORTANT NOTE: for very small pancake lenses BELOW 49mm, such as the 43mm "pancake lenses" by Canon, this will NOT fit and you won't be able to mount it, so check very carefully before you buy this what type of lens(es) you intend to use this on.For the price, I recommend this. It comes with more mounting ring sizes that most of the there brands. Light temperature and intensity are easily and quickly adjusted. If you're thinking about trying out a ring light for your camera, this is a great way to start, learn about it without breaking the bank. (Buy now before those new tariffs are imposed by the administration and these items become expensive or impossible to import!)

For me. I cannot get it to clip onto the lens adapter. I had to hold it while I used it.

The flash does not sync or work with Fujifilm camera but for the cheap price, the fixed light on side work fine for small object macro because it’s not too bright for indoor uses.

The light continuously comes off while using it. It doesn't lock in place.

I used it with on light feature. Flash setting is very bright in macro and washes out the photos

This is a well made ring light made from inexpensive materials which is no insult considering its very low price. It works well but the instructions can be difficult to understand and can be misleading. It also has one technical shortcoming. Therefore, these two issues that have been raised in other comments and reviews and need to be addressed:1. The power control hot shoe contact has a contact that protrudes out of the bottom to make contact with the appropriate contact of the camera hot shoe. The fixed knob (as named in the instructions) retracts this contact into the power control bottom when it is completely rotated up toward the unit. When the fixed knob is rotated completely away from the unit, the protruding contact is rigidly exposed and sliding the unit on or off the camera hot shoe could damage both the camera and power control. It is essential when installing or removing the power control from the camera that the fixed knob is fully rotated towards the power control until the contact is fully retracted. Please see the photographs. Once the power unit is on the camera hot shoe, then rotating the knob fully away from the power control will securely anchor the power control and lower the contact onto the appropriate camera contact.2. Once the ring light is attached to the ring adapter on the camera lens, it does rotate freely. This is a problem if the photographer wishes to use the Left and Right functions of the ring light. An easy solution is to place a simple rubber band in the groove of the ring adapter. This causes the ring light clamps to hold onto the ring adapter securely thus preventing it from rotating. Please see the photograph.

I think this is a great little addition for when I want to do some macro photography. It is very lightweight and easy to understand and use. It gives off great white light. Very pleased.

The light is EXACTLY the same setup I see on FB for 2 to 3 times the money. I loved the way it illuminates with NO Vignette Effect on my Macro Shots (these shots have it added in Post). Also, I didn't notice any Vignette when I took pictures of myself holding another camera, while getting the 'circle light ring' effect in my other camera lense. I like the way I can remove the light and hold it under/above/to the side of my subject matter, adjust the lighting level and get 'just the shots I am after'. This is a great little tool for added Macro Lighting. Sure some subject matter my require a stronger light, but for what I was/am doing, worked(s) perfectly. Can't wait to try it on my new 50mm 1.8 Prime Lense with and without my Macro Mag Tubes.Being a new Photographer with DIgital Media (been out of the field for some time), this is an awesome way to refit out my starter kit for teh least money possible. I get decent quality, decent price and it does the job. When I go Intermediate Pro, then I will upgrade and pass this on to my Wife or another Peer in Photography. I am a do it yourself type, and this allows me to buy what I need, when I need it and save money. IF your a brand snob and have to have the $500 light, do it to it, but if your like me, and all you care about is results and at a price you can afford, get this light. I have had ZERO issues; other then learning to use all the functions, LOL!
