Tried to adjust the governor speed on my generator when the power went out. I know it was close by checking the voltage output. The tach was not even close to where it should be on any mode. Do not purchase if you need accuracy.

The clip on clamp is handy, I think most engines will have the space for the clamp. If not, you could cut the clamp off and wind the wire around the old fashioned way! With the clamp, I would recommend a couple layers of electrical tape under the clamp. I also appreciate all the functions, including the tach redline warning, and time for maintenance warning, all of which is programmable! It also comes with a simple yet effective mounting set up, with different size o rings to hook it up! Very handy and thoughtfful! It is a liile pricey, but does a lot!I recommend this, very visable tach numbers, does a lot, and you can replace the battery!
