Tight fit, and locks into place well. Can seem to not be big enough for plugging in cord, butAs long as cord is lined up correctly, it will fit

Certainly not the most durable product I've ever purchased - very lightweight, but it certainly seems to get the job done, so that's the most important part!Ethernet ports snap in very snugly which is great - not wiggly or loose at all.

It is a great product. I glued it in place and ran a 25' cat-7 cable to it. I then ran a 10' cat- cable away from it. I have another I did 2 years ago and it is still glued to a wall working great.

I needed these to connect shorter cords together and surprisingly it worked great. Good price, good quality and seemingly durable. Fits well and it provides good internet speed.

As a semi-amateur network technician, I expect unbroken Ethernet cables from one node to another. We recently had to move one of our switches so that it was just barely in reach of an uplink cable. It connected, and worked, but the cable was strained, and also happened to reach only a PoE port on the switch (the uplink didn't need PoE). Pulling a new, longer cable was possible, but challenging (200 foot run, passing through many challenging passages). So, I bought this coupler so I could add a 1-foot patch cable. This coupler works perfectly, no networking issues so far, and just 1-foot longer lets me drape the end of the cable run in a relaxed (not strained) way, and plug it into a non-PoE port on the switch. This was a very affordable solution, easy to implement, and effective. My cables (both uplink and patch) are Cat5e. The 1-foot patch cable is a manufactured cable, the uplink cable is custom cut, with the RJ45 plugs attached by me on site.

I bought several of these because my ethernet cables run though the walls and I needed to relocate my router to the server tower to connect to the battery backup and needed a way to extend the ethernet cables another 6'. It worked great, however an odd occurrence started happening. Most probably won't understand, but I run several internet services that require continuous uninterrupted internet or else my logs start blowing up with errors and loss reports. I thought at first it was because the couplers were not able to hold a stable connection, but I found that it was some something entirely different. Somehow the couplers were amplifying the internet speed and was pushing through speeds up to 250mbps faster that what the modem would allow and was causing service surges only for the programs that require proxies. For a normal user it probably would have been unnoticed and helpful for increasing internet speeds, but me definitely not. I called a service technician to come out and look and they installed ferrites on the network cables near the couplers and it instantly fixed the issue. Perhaps for home use this is perfect, but they need a little tweaking when you're using these for business class or those using proxies.

I used this to extend the microphone cable for an Icom IC-2730a. I have 2 of these radios, one above the other and wanted the microphone to be on the left side for the top radio. I installed a short RJ45 CAT5 cable from the radio to this adapter and then plugged my mic into it. Bam! No issues and now my microphones are not both dangling on the same side of the ham shack. I'm sure these would work great for actual Ethernet extensions as well. They are very sturdy and well built. I would recommend these to anyone.
