I really like the quality of this microscope and how easy it is for young children to use in the classroom and outside on the school grounds or on a field trip. I need affordable options that I'm not afraid to let children touch and this fits the bill. I like that it came with a 32 GB storage card - those alone can be expensive so it's nice that it's in the package. My apple computer automatically recognized the device when I plugged it in. I was able to choose if I wanted to download the photos or view what was on the microscope on my computer. I didn't have any trouble downloading the images (see attached) but I was not able to view from the microscope on my screen through either the photos app or Quick time. Each app let me select the device but it just showed a dark pink view from the camera. I love that this device is rechargeable which is a must in my classroom. I do highly recommend the product and will continue to see if I can connect the device to my computer for viewing because that would be helpful for modeling and viewing objects for my whole class.

Very cute & fun toy for any kids interested in microscopes! The first one I got had a bad screen, but the company accepted my return & sent a replacement quickly. The replacement works great! It's easy to use even without reading the instructions, but you learn of a lot more features & options if you do read through the booklet. You can take & store pictures with it! & it comes with a 32gb microSD card. There are options to plug into your computer & programs to get for it, but I haven't checked any of those options out as we don't want to use a computer with it.It comes with a few slides that are fun to look at, but you can try it out on anything!Very fun toy for any science-minded kids!

I like this little microscope a lot. It's just a bit too advanced for my 3 1/2 year old to use on her own just yet, but we've been having a great time going around and looking at stuff together.I have some doubts about the 1000x magnification claim. The zoom buttons on the camera go from 1x to 4x. I'm not sure exactly how they measure it. It's definitely not 1000x though. ;) The manual doesn't mention specific magnification values, except the 1000x claim on the product specs page.I've attached a couple pictures of the same spot where white lines cross on a cutting mat I have, one with my phone at 10x about 6 inches away (best pic I could get with auto-focus), and one with the microscope at 4x pressed against the mat and manually focused. The lines in the microscope's 4x image are about twice as wide as my phone. The actual lines are about 1mm wide. I'm sure there's some crazy math that could calculate it, but if I had to guess the microscope is probably around 25x or 30x. It's still pretty good at getting detail that the naked eye would never see. :)A very nice feature are the bright LEDs that light up the area right around the lens of the microscope. You don't need to back-light slides or other things you're looking at, these lights do a very good job of illuminating things. If looking at prepared slides (this microscope comes with 6 of them), I'd suggest a white background to get the best view. One other thing the microscope can do is output to PC's. I tried it on my Windows 10 machine and it's not bad necessarily, but there are some quirks. One is that the lights don't work on the microscope while connected to the PC. Not sure why, the manual doesn't mention it and I couldn't find any settings for it. Another issue is that you can't zoom. If I had to guess, it's using the 1x or 2x zoom level while connected. I also attached a pic I took while it was attached to the windows PC of the same spot on my cutting mat as before. This is lit with a flashlight shining from the left, since the lights on the microscope don't work.I've also attached a few other pics of things we looked at. A quarter, a paper towel, a hair on the back of my hand, and the 1000x word in the product specifications in the user manual. Overall I think it does a pretty good job for the price. :)EDIT: So I watched the product videos on the listing here, and one actually explains the 1000x zoom. The 1x - 4x is just digital zoom. To get the 1000x First focus on the item with the standard zoom like normal. Then you have to move the focus wheel all the way to the other end of it's range. It's a LONG way. It's counter-intuitive, because you're moving it away from being focused. Eventually it will re-focus though, FAR more zoomed in. Is it actually 1000x? I don't know. I attached a pic of the cutting mat at the same spot, supposedly at 1000x.

I agree with all the glowing reviews on here. This made a great Christmas gift, not only for my child, but for my husband and myself as well. Works really well, the picture is really clear, can get really close up. It can be a little scary actually, looking so closely at the spots, hairs, and imperfections I didn't know existed on the skin of my arm. It's been fun looking closely at different fabrics. It can take photos and record videos of all the tiny worlds you find. My husband wants one for himself, so I'll have to find one that's not pink and without the cute unicorn on the top. Buy it, buy it now. You will not be disappointed.

This Microscope has been a hit with my young nephew. It's easy to use, and the 2-inch screen is perfect for their little hands. The magnification is quite impressive and has really sparked an interest in science and exploration for them. The only downside is that it feels a bit fragile, so we have to be careful with it.

I got this for my kids for Christmas and I could not resist to open and have a play myself - it is so cool to see your skin, fabric and plants under a microscope. I can imagine my daughter will love to take it with her for a walk in the nature where this little device can help to observe plants bugs in details. It can also take photos and videos and allows you to connect to computers to see things even more clear - Something to explore more with the kids later.Definitely would recommend for school age children, great to learn biology while having fun.

I gifted this microscope to my cousin's daughter, his family loves it so much. The outlook is cute. Compact size makes it easy to handle and portable. Love the pink dino.It has actually bare-bone features as a camera: take pictures, zoom in/out, recap. But the best thing is the pictures give you a quality in early 90s, which is nostalgic. The camera tends to get blur, so it needs adjustment once changing the objects. This toy gave us a lot of fun, and it's not that expensive.

I bought this for my niece as a birthday gift, and she absolutely adores it by the pinky and lovely design! The package includes a 32GB SD card, allowing her to store plenty of photos and videos, a USB cable to connect the device to a PC for viewing images on a larger screen, and six sample slides for kids to explore the microscopic details of the world right away.
