This is one of those modifications that is preference - spend the extra $, get brand name, more settings, and peace of mind.Installation was a little more extensive than I had anticipated, but with a pop clip tool and about 30-45 min, you should be fine.

Love the functionality. I can now use LED bulbs without needing load resistors. You can customize the number of blinks, and how the hazards flash. The company’s website has more application specific notes. I had to disable my daytime running lights in order for the part to work. I had to order an $8 part from Toyota and remove a small wire harness. This was for a 2011 Tacoma. The most difficult part of the install was accessing the rear of the fuse panel. Highly recommended!!!

I bought this primarily to mimic how my newer car works when switching lanes, but the different hazard functions are awesome. I really like being able to strobe my hazard lights and the fact that I quickly switch between different styles by turning off and back on the car.

Recently switched to this over in line resistors because they were a pain and and would get hot. Install was a breeze except getting that one little clip out of the factory relay can be a real pain. Works great, love how programmable it is, especially the welcome lights. Highly recommend.
