This worked perfectly and fit just as advertised for my fireplace. Our fireplace is much more comfortable now that the fan is regulated by the temp.

The unit is well made, fit into the fireplace easier than the unit it replaced which was already a replacement for the original. This replaces a $435 fan that was replaced 2 years ago which stopped working and only came with a 30 day warranty. This unit works very well, is quiet , easy to install and I added a 2 year warranty when I bought it.I had this installed by my HVAC person and he said it looks like a good unit and agreed it is hard to justify buying another $435 unit with only a 30 day warranty so we went with this one and so far it is excellent.

I have a 19-year-old majestic fireplace I never purchased a fan for because Majestic wanted $400 bucks.I found similar fans now going for $35-$139 on Amazon. I purchased on the cheaper end for $39 after listening to a review of the more expensive ball-bearing fireplace plans that cost $139. The main difference is that this one for $39 is a sleeve bearing vs the ball bearing of the $139 fan. I decided to check out the cheaper one first, and if I was not happy, I could send it back via Prime and spend the extra cash on the more expensive unit.When I received it, I had it in the fireplace in about 15-20 minutes. Followed the directions and made sure the sensor was placed in an optimal position. Fired up the fireplace. In 13 minutes, the fan kicked on, and I adjusted the speed to about 3/4. The fan is quiet, sure you hear some noise from the air moving through the fireplace. But it's not any louder than the air moving through my vents. So I am very pleased.I have read that the sleeve bearings don't last as long as the ball bearings. But for $100 cheaper and replacement motors going for $20 each, I am ok with that.My wife and I are now enjoying the extra heat in the living room and couldn't be more pleased.

I had an older Majestic fireplace without a fan and wondered if I could still get a fan kit. Well, turns out you can and this kit was everything I needed and at a good price. It was pretty easy to install because my fireplace was already set up for it complete with a powered outlet. It works well and I could not be more pleased.

The good:The fan and control box mounted perfectly in the fireplace. The set up was easy. Not noticeable at low speed.The bad:Bolts/wingnuts to mount to included.Whatever bearings were used in these are junk. As you increase speed the fan gets louder and wobbles a bit.It moves a ton of air which is great but the noise is noticeable and I’m not putting my money on it lasting more the this winter

This appeared to be the least expensive of several other similar looking products by other suppliers. A previous unit I installed about 3 years ago became very noisy, so much so that we had to turn off the fan when using the phone. The new fan had the same cubic feet per minute airflow rating and RPM motor specs as well. The space under the firebox was very cramped, which is typical of many natural gas fireplaces, so it took me about 90 minutes to remove the old one and install the new one. I had to cut and bend some small pieces of metal along the edge of the opening under the firebox in order to manoeuvre the new fan into place along the back wall, But once those pieces were bent back into place they were easily covered by the metal louvred door that covers the opening to the space under the firebox. I plugged it into the receptacle which was under the firebox and positioned the heat sensor. The heat sensor seem to work better this time, allowing the fan to turn off and on as needed based on temperature. The old fan sensor didn't seem to work and the fan ran continuously, needing to be manually turned off by the wall switch. All in all, I am really pleased with the purchase and how quiet it is. It's 100% better than it was before. And FYI, if I had gotten a technician to replace the fan it would have cost me $125 just for labour and then probably another 200 for the fan plus tax, whereas I did it for the cost of the fan which was $125.

A little hard to install. Takes a while to come on because it does not get hot enough faster. When it comes on it works great. Love having a blower. Wish we would have bought it years ago.

Super easy to install, works great. Blower is not super powerful but it gets the job done. FYI power usage on low is about 20 watts and on high is about 40 watts.

This is simple to install. Mine needed some filing out of screw holes but that was a result of where the screws were placed on the fireplace not the fan mechanism. This only took a few minutes. i found the placement of the thermostat for start/shut off of the fan was the hardest thing to get right in the installation. i have 2 Majestic fireplaces, one with a narrower width and placement of the thermostat so that it would work properly was more difficult. The wider one worked as long as you had the thermostat outside the width of the fan. The most important thing is to get that thermostat away from the fan so that the heat of the box is not affected by air movement caused by the fan itself.As said, get the thermostat as far away from the fan air movement otherwise the fan will turn off more than often than what you want which happened with my narrower box fireplace. I found the 'sweet spot' with some trial and error and all is good now. Also as mentioned in other reviews, for some reason they do not give you the 4 10-24 nuts which are required and thus you will need to pick them up. Why the kit does not contain them is beyond me. i would rather have to pay a few extra buck rather than having to drive to a hardware store to pick them up.

This was a great deal! The added air movement that this fan adds really changed the climate in the room where the fireplace is. Once opening the package there were only a few steps to install. It took me less than 15 minutes to install. The only negative I can say is that the kit doesn't come with the #10-24 hex nuts to mount it to the posts. You will need 4 of those nuts. The fan is very quiet and the sensor does a great job regulating when the fan should come on and turn off. I highly recommend this product if you need to install a fan or replace a fan in your fireplace. What a difference!!!!

Best money I've spent! Saves a ton of money using the blower for gas fireplace compaired to electric heat! Blower doesn't squeak and is relatively quiet. It moves a lot of air so cleaning vents and around the hot box regularly is imperative.
