It can be used to fill veneer, gouges, scrapes, and holes. You can even create impressions with stamps and other elements using this mud. Our mud comes in three colors: White, Brown, and Black. Pair with our Mud Spatula (sold separately) for easy application.
  • SPACKLE EFFECT – This mud makes the perfect textured effect on any of your projects. This clay-based mud dries and is durable to last as long as your project will. Use this to make a spackled effect on the exterior of your project or can be smoothed over cracks to fill so your surface looks good as new.
  • SPECIAL EFFECTS MUD – If you are not using mud to fill holes or gaps in your project, place a stencil over your project and secure with painter’s tape. Use your mud spatula (sold separately) to spread mud over your stencil in an even layer. Scrape excess back into jar. Never rinse mud down your drain. Clean utensils with baby wipes or paper towels. Store in the refrigerator.

Old solid wood door with several nicks and dings. Went on smooth, sanded after 15-20 minutes took primer and stain well.

This Dixie Belle mud is “good stuff.” I painted two vanities with Dixie Belle products. This mud filler covered the wood grain of all the doors and drawers. It gave a smooth finish to the vanity, removing any telltale sign of the original wood look … making it a step above painted cabinets. Dixie Belle has an array of products and colors from which to choose. The mud goes on easily. It dries quickly, making it easy to move forward with painting. I’m very pleased.

I really haven't used it as I intended when I purchased to paint kitchen cabinets, but I did paint one cabinet on stove side to test it out & it went on very well.

I was skeptical about paying so much for wood filler. My wife showed me the product on a video where this teacher flips furniture. I thought that it was going to suck but it worked amazingly well. Now I am going to order other Dixie Belle products.
