Gator Hide
As the name implies, this polyacrylic topcoat is tough as Gator’s Hide. Add Gator Hide to your chalk painted kitchen or bathroom cabinets for long lasting durability. Paint on almost any surface including wood, metal, laminate, and glass. Gator Hide is available in 8oz, 16oz, and 32oz varieties.
Clear Coat
Dixie Belle Clear Coats have a beautiful rock-hard finish that lasts. Perfect for over chalk paint. Paint on any furniture surface for the best, long-lasting finish. Our Clear Coats are available in Flat, Gloss, and Satin finishes. Each finish comes in 8oz, 16oz, and 32 oz options.
Extra Coat
Dixie Belle Clear Extra Coat is a water-based polyacrylic clear coat that has a dreamy, satin finish. This paint is perfect for any painted furniture and is easy to work with, forgiving, and gives a great finish while drying quickly. Our easy-to-use paint is great for beginning or advanced restoration projects. Our Extra Coat is available in a 16oz size.
Terra Finish
Terra Seal has a soft matte finish. Our line of Clear Coats are the best top coats for painted furniture. Our clear coats are water based polyacrylics that give the best protective coating for your DIY projects. Terra Tuff is a polyurethane polymer resin that is dispersed in water and is solvent free. Our Terra finishes come in a Terra Seal Matte and Terra Tuff in a 16oz size.

I use DB paint all the time but first time trying this top coat for a friend’s project that wanted more of a sheen to the finished furniture. It went on easily and she loved it!

This is the second container I have purchased for a rental property we are remodeling. I decided to use this after I finished a kitchen backsplash with chalk paint. It was actually an ugly linoleum that I took a chance on refinishing to keep the cost down and trying to remove it would have caused the plaster on a 100 year old building to crumble. I’m so happy I did . . . with 3 coats of Gater Hide the finished project looked like tiles and I feel confident it will hold up for years. It levels out if you carefully apply it with a sponge and long smooth passes. It’s a beautiful satin finish.

I used this on my kitchen table after I painted it. It provides a hard, durable tabletop. It is somewhat difficult to apply to get a clear surface and you need to find the proper applicator and follow directions. If you’re a somewhat experienced chalk painter you should be able to use it with good results.

This Gator Hide is “good stuff.” I painted two vanities with Dixie Belle products. The Gator Hide product imparts a water resistant finish on the doors and drawers. There’s an array of colors from which to choose. The Gator Hide goes on easily. It dries quickly, making it easy to apply multiple coats. I’m very pleased.

Left a really nice eggshell type finish on a newly painted table top. Easy to apply, and dried fast. Plan on three coats.
