Deck Post Base Cover Skirt Flange with Screws (4x4 and 6x6 inches)

- Perfect for deck supports, porch railing, handrails and post holders. Also, can be used as table leg / mailbox post support brackets.
- Sanding / trimming may be required depending on post type and little size error.

I was installing hardwood decking, using 5 pipe clamps to pull the boards into alignment. These really helped me get the boards set with consistent spacing. I bought both 1/4" and 5/16" spacers and having the two sizes let me adjust each row of decking to keep the rows aligned with the house.

These are great little spacers. They slip between the boards easily and with the apron, they support themselves on the boards well.I would have liked to get the ones which have 4 different sizes on each spacer. We learned that not all the boards we were replacing were the same distance apart and having spacers with different sizes would have helped. However, if you are laying a NEW deck or something like that, these work GREAT. Only change is maybe a slightly bigger finger grip.

These are slick! I am a profectionist and spent so much money on 2x6 cedar decking I wanted it to look perfect and function well. Knowing your moisture content helps as wood expands and contracts a great deal even if milled and covered. I really needed to physically see the gaps. I liked the orange spacers best. The top handles of all the spacers are about the same , so I used them as having alot is far superior. You can use penny nails etc but these dont fall through and are superior. I broke a couple because I had to straighten a couple boards to keep the gap consistent.
