Your cart is empty.DMC satin floss is a shiny radiant thread made from 100-percent rayon fibers. It is the shiniest DMC thread available and it glides easily through fabric. The bright fibers of satin floss make this thread ideal for creating surface embroidery stitches which reflect light beautifully. Satin floss is comprised of 6 size 25 easily separated strands, allowing to adjust the thickness of stitching by using a different number of strands. It gives a wonderful brightness to all designs in traditional embroidery as well as in cross stitch. A shimmering brightness, a touch as soft as silk. In just a few stitches, satin gives a sheen to all designs. Its incredible soft touch will make stitching easy and pleasurable. Traditional embroidery, cross stitch the gleaming satin effect appears whatever the technique you use. The longer the stitches are, the thread will capture more light and the brightness will be more intense. In satin stitch or in flat stitch, the sheen of satin is clearly visible. In a few stitches, your tablecloths, napkins, cushions, bags and clothes are personalised with an elegant touch. After washing, gently wring it out and rinse it as many times as necessary to get the soap out of it, until the water is clear. Use almost cold water to rinse the piece. Wrap the embroidery in a towel to remove excess water, then dry flat. Place the embroidery on a clean towel, preferably while still damp, and iron on the reverse side, at the temperature setting recommended for the fabric. Available in hibiscus pink color bring radiance to designs. Measures 8.7-yard in size.

Couldn't wait for this color to use in a project I'm working on. The satin, of course, adds to the lighting effect of the piece. The color is a true Sepia. Received great care from the seller who has never let me down.

This is very pretty thread with a lovely sheen, but it is really hard to work with. Consider using shorter strands and conditioning it with something like .Note that this is 100% rayon floss and is DMC's replacement for their older Rayon Floss line. The number of these threads match regular DMC with the addition of S at the beginning. (To convert from the old Rayon Floss numbers, just delete the 30 at the front of the number and change to S. Eg. 30931 becomes S931.)
