I have a water heater that I got for $25, from an RV recycling operation. This water heater is in my unheated, works and projects garage. I attached a hose to it that drains outside, onto the lawn. This replaces the old drain valve, that was half stuck, that was headed to full failure.This valve looks durable and performs as represented!

My new fifth wheel RV water heater uses a threaded plastic cap that needs to be removed to drain the tank. I drain the water heater often and it becomes a nuisance to have to get the ratchet, extension and large socket to do so. This valve makes that task so much easier. It threads onto the outlet and drains the tank by turning the valve. It is pipe thread so wrapping with teflon tape is a good idea. The water heater door has clearance to still close properly. The valve is built well and the the quality is very good. 5 stars for quality and value.
