About this item

  • Made of high quality T-304 stainless steel with flex.Material:Stainless Steel
  • TIG welded CNC machine flange for resistance against pressure and corrosion
  • Flanged to bolt to factory manifold
  • Slips over factory exhaust pipe to be clamped or welded to repair broken flex section
  • 2. 25"diameter 3-bolt inlet to 2. 25" factory sized pipe outlet

The most weakest part of any exhaust system is the Flex Section. The stock flex pipe on your catalytic converter is meant to flex or bend so as to not damage the rest of your exhaust system. Because of this, due to age and stress, they do break. A far more cost effective solution is to replace the head pipe using a repair kit like ours. Our solution is the perfect alternative to replacing the entire converter assembly or attempting to repair the broken flex pipe. This item fits: 99-05 Chevrolet Cavalier/ 05-09 Chevrolet Cobalt/ 06-10 Chevrolet HHR/ 07-10 Pontiac G5/ 2000 Saturn LW1 / LS1 / LS/ 01-02 Saturn L100/ 01-03 Saturn L100 / L200/ 02-06 Saturn Vue/ 03-07 Saturn Ion

Bought this to replace a failed flexible pipe on a 2002 Saturn L200 with the 2.2L 4 cylinder. The description says this replacement flex pipe will slip over the existing pipe to allow for clamping or welding. Technically true but in this case my factory pipe is 2" (o/d) and the opening in the replacement flex pipe is for a 2 1/4" pipe. I removed the pipe, cut off the old worn flex pipe off just below the weld, and picked up a 2" to 2 1/4" adapter pipe ($5), a 2" U bolt exhaust clamp, and a 2 1/4" U bolt exhaust clamp. Bolted everything up and it works fine. No leaks. Not pretty but functional.

Perfect fit. 2009 Chevy HHR 2.2 I welded. Easily could have clamped. Slips right over stock pipe.

Fit my 09 cobalt 4 cylinder and fixed my super loud exhaust leak. Has been on through one salty ohio winter and still looks good. Probably will outlast the car

Ordered this for my 2010 Chevy Cobalt with the 2.2L since the OEM flex piece was leaking bad. Was very easy to install. Just have to unbolt and remove the downpipe/catalytic converters, cut off old flange (about 1 in. From O2 sensor), the new pipe slips right over the old one. So i just bolted it to the manifold then put the rest of the pipe up, tack welded it together before removing it for a good final weld. Didn't take long at all, looks and sounds good. Material quality appears to be very good, i believe this part is going to last a long time. Highly recommend.

Replaced the cracked flex pipe on my Chevy HHR 2010 (90k miles) exhaust. Fit perfectly and the local shop did a wonderful weld job and for decent price ($120).Item does appear a lot shiny (stainless steel like) in the pictures as compared to the Unit I recd. But it is high quality and for a great price and free s/h. Def. recommend.
