We have a lot of tote bags—some specifically dedicated to beach and resort use—but until recently, I never fully appreciated why an open-weave mesh bag was necessary. That changed this past summer when we stayed at a resort in Key Largo. By the time we left, it felt like half the beach had come home with us, thanks to the fine sand that got trapped in our traditional canvas beach bag. Despite shaking, brushing, and emptying it as best we could, a surprising amount of sand still made its way back to Southern California. That’s when I started rethinking our entire beach storage setup.This DOFOWORK Mesh Beach Bag turned out to be exactly what we needed. It’s lightweight, extra-large, and designed to let sand fall through instead of getting stuck at the bottom like it does with solid fabric bags. What makes it even better is how easily it fits inside one of our existing canvas beach totes. Now, when we’re at the beach, we simply take out our towels, toys, and sunscreen from the main bag and store them in this mesh one when they’re not in use. By the time we head back to the car, much of the sand has already fallen out, instead of making its way home with us.Of course, this system only works if everyone follows the rule of not putting a sandy mesh bag back inside the clean canvas tote. That mistake only happened once, and while it did take a thorough vacuuming and an inside-out spin in the washing machine to fix, we learned our lesson. Since then, this bag has made post-beach cleanup so much easier.Another great thing about this mesh bag is that it naturally helps dry out wet or damp items. Whether it’s swimsuits, flip-flops, or towels that didn’t quite dry before we packed up, the open mesh ensures airflow, preventing the mildew and musty smell that can happen when wet items are stuffed into a closed bag. It’s also handy for pool days, making it a versatile addition to our collection.If there’s one thing to note, it’s that this isn’t the most heavy-duty mesh bag out there. It’s strong enough for our needs, but it’s designed to be lightweight and compact, which means it may not withstand years of heavy abuse. That said, we weren’t looking for an ultra-rugged bag—we wanted something that could fold down small, tuck neatly into our main beach bag, and be there when we needed it. On that front, this bag delivers perfectly.Overall, this has been a simple yet effective upgrade to our beach routine. It’s not a replacement for our main beach tote, but it’s an excellent companion that keeps sand where it belongs—on the beach, not in our car or house. While I wouldn’t rely on it for carrying heavy loads or expect it to last forever, it does exactly what we need it to do. Four stars, simply because it could be a little more durable, but otherwise, it’s a fantastic addition to our beach and pool gear.

Perfect beach bag for travel. I have a bogg bag i normally use for beach trips. But for an upcoming cruise my space is limited and the bogg bag is too big in my suitcase. But this bag is perfect for that. It's big enough to hold everything my family of 4 will need for port stops. The various smaller pockets and zippers will ensure everything is kept in place. And when you're not using it, it folds down compactly for travel. It will be easy to clean and don't have to worry about sand coming home with you. The price is very reasonable and the design is perfect for a Caribbean cruise...I'd highly recommend, especially for travel!

This leafy mesh brach bag is suitable for beaches and pool both. It is really large and can hold all the essentials for 3-4 people like towel, water bottles, sunglasses, slippers , snacks and whatever you want to put in it.I like that it has 9 pockets in which 8 are outside and 1 is zipped pocket inside in which essentials can be stored. It is light weight and can be washed easily.I personally think that there should have been a bottom support in the bag to make it stable on the floor when am carrying less stuff in it.Rest it is a good large mesh bag.

This is a great bag for taking to the beach. It is very roomy with multiple pockets for all those odds and ends we take to the beach. We especially like the zipper pocket inside for important stuff like eyeglasses or car keys. It also collapses flat to fit into a suitcase without taking much space at all. This mesh bag appears to be durable with nice rugged stitching. The price point makes this a good value.

Beach bag has a pleasing color and pattern. The material seems to be fine as well, although it is relatively thin and lightweight. Maybe too lightweight! The bag is very big and can hold a lot. Can fit about 9 or 10 folded towels inside the bag. The handles seem to be sufficiently strong enough to carry the weight of the bag when loaded, and they appear to be comfortable to hold too.Don't really like the pockets on the outside. All the pockets are the same size. It appears on the ad copy that the pockets have elastic at the tops to keep things within, but they do not. If the bag is not filled full, those pockets will allow anything you put in them to fall out. Basically, I wouldn't trust that anything in the outside pockets would stay in those pockets unless the bag was stuffed to the max!

One of the biggest hassles of going to the beach is carrying all of your gear along with you. Since we live in Arizona, all of our beach visits happen while traveling, so it is great having a bag like this that can hold a lot of stuff while still being light and compact for packing.I really like this bag. The main area is big enough to carry towels, snorkel gear, snacks etc., and the side pockets provide a place to organize smaller items like sunscreen. It also has a fairly roomy inner pocket with zipper which is great for stashing your wallet, keys, phone, etc. The fabric and straps are also sturdy and strong, so even when fully loaded, I have no concerns about the strength or durability of this bag. Since the fabric is a mesh, it lets sand and water escape too. When empty, the bag is a little floppy, but once you put stuff inside, it holds its shape and stands up on its own very well.

This is such a cute bag for the beach. Mesh fabric so that sand won’t get trapped inside. There’s several pockets outside to hold all the things.
