The comb works well but the purple is wearing off fast and my finger tips hurt alot from using it. It would probably work great for light grooming of dogs with thinner, easy to comb hair without hurting your fingers.

Easy to wash clean. Came in a reusable pouch for storage. Draw hair up and away, not out.

Bought as a gift for a coworker in the grooming salon. She was constantly loosing teeth in her combs. Was able to find this very sturdy, all metal comb that has yet to loose any teeth through lots of detangling and many drops. In her favorite color at that, purple.

I have 3 dogs with different types of hair. One is a schnoodle with curly hair, one is a Goldendoodle with long wavy thick hair, and one is a Labradoodle with short wavy wiry hair. When I was looking at these types of combs, I almost bought one for half of the price, but due to the reviews, I purchased this dog comb in purple. I'm so glad I did. The dogs don't like the other grooming tools that I've purchased in the past (combs, brushes, rakes, etc.). However, this comb smoothly glides through their different types of hair with them standing there and not having anxiety. I've combed them while dry, wet, and even dirty. It takes care of it all. It's also beautiful and cleans up well.I love it and so do the dogs.It even comes nicely packaged with a little thank you note.

I have 3 extremely long haired Persian cats and way too many combs. Most of them work to an extent, but none completely keep my cats from matting. This one does! The extra long teeth get down to the guard hairs easily and the width on the teeth allows me to bring up the shed hair without yanking out huge holes in their coat. The metal is extremely sturdy - I expect this comb to last a lifetime. I recommend this to anyone who has a long haired cat or dog and has difficulty grooming out mats, tangles, and snarls.

I have long haired Maine Coon that hates to be groomed. At a recent vet's visit, I requested that some jnots be shaved off...the tech took out a grooming comb and the knots came out without any shaving. I immediately decided to get one, and after reading the reviews I decided upon this product. My pet comb arrived right away, and so far its worked out great. I try to do only one section of his fur at a time and he doesn't seem to mind (no discomfort unlike some brushes I've used). The comb is well made (sturdy) and is quite stylish too (we can always use a little bling in our lives!!)

I am not sure this comb is exactly what my cat's vet recommended because the tines are wider apart than I thought. The vet recommended fine/medium tines and I thought that was it by looking at the photo before ordering. It's a nice and quality comb although I only used the half with the narrower tines on my cat so far. She loves it and doesn't mind being brushed in the more sensitive area near her rear end. My cat has short, untangled hair so this may not be the ideal one for her. But the comb did brush out some hair and dandruff every time I used on her. I will wait and see if I need to buy another brush with finer tines to finish off the brushing job.11/11/15 - I am giving it 5 star now because I started combing my cat's fur forward and got quite a different result. I was able to comb out more fur on her tail & the rest and she loves it even more. This comb does give good massage and gives her good circulation.

Comb arrived quickly and the purple color is really pretty. The comb came in a nice box that would be great for gift giving. It is easy to hold, and I often comb my Old English Sheepdog for an hour or two at a time. She mats very easily so I have to comb her almost daily. For her worst mats, I turn the comb on it side and take the last tooth and use it to slice through the middle of the mat to loosen it. That helps break up the mat and allows me to turn the comb back and comb through the rest of the mats. Good quality comb for the price.
