7.0 inch straight scissors

Oooh I'm excited for these, and I'm not a professional groomer. I'm actually just too cheap to take my boys in to have a pro cut their hair. I just used the blunt pair to cut the wispy hairs near my little jack russell chihuahuas eyes and it was so easy! Not too tight around the fingers. Sharp enough to cut on the first snip. Not too heavy. I'm used to little ones from the pet store but these are quite the upgrade. The floral design is an extra but cooler for a pro. Can't wait to try them on thr golden retriever!

These are sharp! And almost every type of shears you need for grooming - missing a curved thinning shears. I'm attempting to DIY grooming my Yorkie puppies and will need all the help I can get! I like that the adjustable screw has a low profile so I can easily slip these into the storage case. I'm not too keen on the decorative pattern - totally unnecessary. Also the comb isn't good - teeth are two wide and the bars sticks out too much on the ends. I have several better metal combs so just chucked this one. Good set if you're just starting out.

I am not a professional groomer. We have 3 miniature poodles that we groom at home. We have not had any formal training, but we have been grooming our dogs for the past 5 years and have tried a few different scissors. I won’t lie, I can’t say that these are better than any others that we have used. What I will say is that they are every bit as good as any others that we have had, and we have had some that are much more expensive than these. What is different about this set, and what made me order them is that the set includes 2 different curved scissors. Sure, I can use the single pair of curved scissors just by flipping them, but they don’t tend to feel as comfortable. I have found that having the more comfortable hold also means a better, more precise, cut. Just for that reason I’m very glad that I got this set. On top of that, this is an attractive set of scissors. I really like the black Damascus look, the imprinted ergonomic handles, rubber muffler and the decorative screws. None of that has any effect on what kind of trim my dogs get, but if I’m going to use them, and have to look at them, why not let them look good? They are sharp and they have done a great job cutting. I have no complaints at all. While they are probably not professional quality, I do think they will last for me a good while. Definitely worth the price for a complete set of grooming sheers, comb and storage case.

If they so much as graze my finger, they slice my skin right open! Be *VERY* careful with them.
