I love the brightness of the colors. These are sturdy stakes. I was a little skeptical of the rotating mechanism on top for the lead, but it is wonderful. Very glad I tried a new product instead of repurchasing what I'd been using for a few years. Very happy with this purchase.

Our 50 lb Lab/Malinois mix snatched this stake outta the ground and jetted after the neighborhood cat like an old WB cartoon. Dragging the leash cable & stake behind her, creating sparks on the road, every step of the way.Luckily my wife was gardening, so she chased after her. I had convinced her this contraption would work. Oooops!!! She didn't talk to me for a week.

I have a cute little (65lb 3 year old) German Shephard Dog and it is so great. I love that she isnt getting tangled on the stake like she was on her old one.

I got this set because it was supposed to be for easy removal (shows only being installed halfway down) but it was stuck in my clay that I ended up just hammering it all the way down becauseit wasn't going to come back up easily. While hammering I hit the plate (pretty lightly) and it shifted about 45°. Tapping on the other side straightened it out but I imagine a few hits might cause it to disconnect completely also not making me feel very strongly about this being good for constant removals and reinstalations. The paint also chips off quite easily. I used a wood chunk at first but in the indention was pieces of the paint so I didn't bother after the midway point check if it wasn't going to keep it intact. I put up a comparison to the other stake ($5 at walmart) and I have to say I like it more. I have to drive around this one where as I can drive right over the green with the mower. It works but quality doesn't match the price.NOT RECOMMENDED.

This would be a great tie out if you won't need to relocate it regularly. In my case I like to change from one shady location to another every few days but this is designed to really stay in the ground due to the 4 barbs that help keep it from being pulled out. I was concerned with tripping on it as well (especially after dark) due to the rod sticking out of the ground a few inches.

These work great to tether my large dogs in the yard when tradesmen need to enter the property.

The stakes are easily put into the soil and my two dogs just enjoyed a nice cool day beneath the tree for some shade. I supplied water and an occasional treat and it was very enjoyable by each of us.
