This product works well. My dog got used to using it very quickly. I ordered a new one and then found that I didn't need it. I tried to return it from the UK but the DHL barcode didn't work.

This product is the best ever. We just renovated our house and didn't want our dogs to ruin the new house door, like they did the last one. They would jump on our door when they asked to come back in. Training- keep on it, they will finally figure it out. It took me a month to train my small dog. My dog is a dog that will push the bell with his paw vrs with his nose ; as one of the methods suggest. This product lasted a year and eight months and replaced the battery once. When you think of it; how much it gets used and abused it fared excellent for the conditions it goes through. The only thing I can say is they may need to reword the description for the doggie doorbell. It should not be placed where it can get totally drenched in rain. Although this might be my design flaw, we have it on a shelf outside the door. There have been times where i have seen it sitting in water; which eventually made it rust where the battery goes and couldn't be fixed. Other than that it is one of the best products I have ever owned. Works well in weather conditions that may prove to be a challenge like -35°Cto even -40°Ca few times.

Great little doorbell for our doggie! It took us about 20 minutes to train our pup to ring the doorbell, now she does it all the time! The chime selection is great, however it is a little loud. Easy set up, was ready to go! Too bad we didn't have this years ago.

We returned this but only because my dog absolutely refuses to use it. He will not touch it - not with his paw, his nose, nothing. If I put the treat in the little pocket he will just stare at it until I pull it out for him. I think he's just a little prima donna who doesn't like touching hard surfaces - I've also noticed he will only obey the command "sit" when there's a rug under him. Anyways, the doorbell was great, had lots of ways to train your dog to use it, our dog just somehow managed to make NONE OF THEM WORK. 3/5 stars would probably work for other dogs.

We’ve had this Pebble smart doggie door bell for more than a year and it’s worked wonderfully! Easy to teach your dog, even our poodle who seems scared of everything.Excellent customer service: The bell started to work less consistently after about a year despite changing batteries etc, and we got in touch with the company. The contact, Keith, was very helpful and indicated it may simply be the product not working as well over time, and so he offered a 50% discount on a second bell. We ordered it on amazon and indeed he refunded half the purchase price, which is great considering we used the original for over a year!

This doorbell worked out pretty great at first. One issue was on the part of my dog. He liked to use his paw to ring it, even though I put it at nose level and trained him using treats and peanut butter on the yellow pad. His nails would get stuck in the hole in the middle that is meant to dispense treats while training them. My other dog caught on pretty quickly and would use her nose to ring it, however. That doesn't effect my rating of the product, but I wanted to make others aware if they have dogs who prefer to use their paws. The bigger issue is that it only lasted about 10 months. I purchased it in September. The batteries stopped working in one half of it in April, and the small battery in the other portion stopped working in May. I had replaced both of them. In the middle of May, it started ringing nonstop on its own. That was fine, because if I shook it just a little bit (not hard), it would stop. Around the middle of June, it stopped ringing. If I shook it a little bit, it would start working again. I think there is a loose connection that sometimes caused it to ring all the time and sometimes caused it to stop completely, depending on how it ended up when I shook it. The doorbell has now stopped working completely. It's a great idea and super cute, but I don't want to buy a new one every 10 months. I am replacing it with a regular doorbell in hopes that this one might last longer.

I decided to wait until I had this in place for at least a year before I reviewed it. I live in Minnesota and the weather here tends not to be so kind to these types of outdoor battery operated devices. I got this doorbell for our very old border collie mix who has just about lost her bark. Here are my thoughts on this device.1. I found it is easy for the dog to activate. Our bright, but stubborn dog took less than a week to demonstrate beyond a doubt that she knew how it worked. To this day she still barks to see if someone will hear her. When that fails, she uses the doorbell. If you are good with dog training and consistent as a pet owner then this doorbell should be simple enough as a training task.2. It works through the rain, heat and even at 15 degrees below zero.3. To avoid a frustrated dog and save time in troubleshooting, I recommend marking your calendar with a yearly reminder to replace the batteries in the sending unit and the receiving chime. The chime batteries seem to go out first and that leaves the dog wondering why family members are not very consistent to come and let her in. Regular battery replacement fixes that problem, but an audible low battery chirp from the chime unit would be a nice addition to remind people to change the battery. This product works. My only concern was durability in tough outdoor conditions and it passed that test.

This is the greatest thing ever for Invisible Fence (or regular fence!) dog owners! I had been wondering about installing a dog door now that our new puppy can run free around the yard, but where we live in New England the winters can be COLD. Who needs drafty dog doors and higher heating bills when you can train your dog to ring the doorbell when he or she wants to come inside? Our dog doorbell arrived on a Saturday and after 3 days of a couple 5-minute training sessions, our dog had this down perfectly. She is five months old, and after a week uses it regularly. We already had potty bells on the inside near the door that she used to tell us she needed to go out, and this just seals the deal. So easy, so great, love the variety of tones and volume. The treat holder is not actually for dispensing treats, just to get the dog to sniff the bell to trigger it the first few times. I recommend training your dog with a screen door for the first few days so that they can hear the doorbell ring and be let inside.

I purchased the Doggie Doorbell because I had puppies of 3 months and I was working to potty train them. I had originally hung jingle bells on the door but the thing was you could not hear them unless you were in the direct area so if you were not, then I felt the puppy was not learning that he could ring the bell to go outside. This was nice because it had a box that can be placed anywhere in your house so you can hear just like a remote doorbell would work. It has multiple songs you can choose from and it is rather loud. I was finally able to sleep upstairs rather than on the couch! The good news is it was pretty easy to teach them to use. (I taught them to use their paw.) The bad news is your dog may learn that you come when they ring it and can cause some "false" ringing .. meaning they ring sometimes even if they don't have to go out. This is not a huge deal except when it is the middle of the night and the loud ringing is going off. I typically would tend to them the first ring and then found you can just pop it out of the case and take down for the evening. This way I knew I let them out per the first ring and I did not have to listen to non-stop ringing. I do think it was a good training aid but not sure it works perfectly as they explain. People have found it very funny when they ring the door bell to go outside. It is pretty entertaining to see.
