Love this product. The sheer beauty and delicate design is impressive. I bought the ceremonial grade matcha tea and using this bamboo whisk is a perfect match. It’s has wonderful blending power, easy to clean and easy to use.

Design and Comfort:It's a wonderfully designed whisk! The handle is not as thick as the other ones I've used which I feel makes it easier to whisk the matcha. The prongs are also more fine, which makes creating the froth even easier when compared to the thicker ones I've used.Quality:Due to the finer prongs, one has to be more careful when whisking so as to not break them. However, the build quality is really nice and you can see the fine craftsmanship that went into its creation. I've only used it for about a week but it has held up very well so far.

Great little whisk. I use it exclusively for matcha tea. It's held up nicely over time. I don't use it every day but at least once a week or so. There's not a lot of curves left in the tines but that doesn't bother me, it froths up well for my liking. For cleaning I just rinse it thoroughly with warm running water and let it dry out completely before placing it back upright in the little stand I bought for it.

I shopped around on amazon for a matcha whisk. I chose this one as it appeared in the photo to be well constructed compared to the other whisk that was almost the same price. I am pleased with this product. No splinters, nicely packaged and I tried it out - it works great! I

Was really looking for a whisk to froth milk that was not battery powered. This does the job in a pinch, but you kind of have to heat your milk in a bowl or wider dish, so you can froth it. Then transfer into a cup and shoot your espresso in. Also, the handle is hollow bamboo, and if it had more weight it might whisk better? I also find the handle rather short. Maybe another inch longer would make it more comfortable to hold. As it is, you can only pinch it between two or three fingers.

Very disappointed. I only bought this because the product description says " Made in Japan". I have bought many many things made in China and have been pleased ; however, for certain items I do care where it was made. For me this item had to be made in Japan. If u don't mind made in China, then buy this. But if you want to get the REAL tool made in Japan then this is NOT the one.

I don't care if made in China or Japan, as long as it is of quality. Unfortunately, the quality is poor. I have studied Chanoyu (Japanese Tea Ceremony) for over 20 years and seen my fair share of chasen. I thought i would give this a try since the price is so low. (it's normal to pay $20-40 for a good chasen in Japan) Unfortunately it did not hold up to the quality of other chasen I have used. Every chasen unfurls a bit after soaking and using to whisk, that is normal, but usually they retain some curve in the tines. This one, unfurled completely straight after only a few minutes in water. It retained hardly any of the form. The tines are a bit thick and don't whisk matcha into a froth the way others do. All chasen will wear out after a few months of use, maybe this will last longer because the tines are thicker? I knew I was taking a gamble with this one, at least I didn't bet too much!

Works fine but I feel like I could have used a regular household cooking tool to do the job.

This whisk is a must in the proper making of match green tea. The whisk itself is of very good quality and does a great job. Expect it to "bloom" after the first use. I rinse mine off after use and allow to air dry in the plastic container it comes in. (Lid off) I expect it to last a very long time.

You won't believe your eyes when you see how this little bamboo whisk irons out all the lups and creates that desired froth with just a few strokes. A stainless whisk just won't do they jo like this baby. It makes tea-making, even with an ingredient -grade matcha into a ceremonial ritual that is efficient, effective, and enjoyable. A must have.

I like the fresh mowed grass taste of Matcha for some reason, and this whisk makes it really quick and easy to prepare. You're not supposed to boil matcha, so I usually heat the water separately, then create a slurry by whipping 1 Tbsp of warm tap water with the powdered tea, and then add to the hot water - doesn't leave any chunks behind. This whisk works awesome for mixing any fine powder with liquid. I even use it to make corn starch slurry. The best thing is that it allows you to mix powders with a minimal amount of liquid compared to the traditional western whisks, which have fewer, but thicker spokes.I don't trust it in the dishwasher; I just give it a good rinse and flick it dry.
