The part came overnight. My Dometic DFMD-30111 is probably one of the most common furnaces out there. At 1-1/2 years old, it is out of warranty. When the thermostat called for power, the blower would engage, the igniter would light. But, as soon as the igniter finished its sparking cycle, the furnace would go out. This would happen three times, then the LED would flash 3 times indicating a lockout. I found the dometic service manual online and tested voltage, gas pressure, and even tried a new circuit board. The service manual indicates that the igniter also acts as the flame sensor - this is important! I think the igniter was not communicating a successful flame to the ciruit board. I pulled out the old igniter, replaced it with this new one, and it fired up perfectly. if you are having my problem.... TRY THIS FIRST!

On my 2018 Montana High Country the configuration is such that to be able to replace the electrode you have to disconnect the gas which is not easily done.

This igniter/flame sensor did not work for me. It would only spark for a half second or so and would not ignite reliably. I tried a variety of gaps from 1/8" to 1/4" and that did not help. I think they are not using high voltage wire and the spark is jumping through the insulation an shorting out the ignition coil. I used a genuine flame sensor and have had no problems since.

The unit does work. But for 75 bucks you would think they would include a new gasket. The old one is all melted and burned and I've nothing to replace it with.

The item deserves 5 stars as is of good quality. One star off due to long and painful shipment. Amazon delivery is a terrible process. If you have time to wait is OK .

This electrode is a perfect drop in replacement for my Atwood AFMD25121 furnace. Th old electrode was damaged due to some dirt dauber misadventures. The new electrode was easy to install, and during testing gives off a consistent, bright spark. After install, my furnace works as designed- "lighting" up within a few seconds of the unit turning on. Also, don't forget to re-seal the burner unit assembly with high temperature material when you re install it to keep fumes on the exhaust side of the furnace.
