Replaced my shift cable with the identical brand and length cable. The fittings on one end were slightly smaller than the original and had to get drilled out. Other than that. Item was as described. Installed and working dry dock. Can’t wait to have reverse in my starboard motor again!

These extreme cables cut the corners so much better. I shortened the length of cables needed by a foot. They no longer rub on the wall of the stern well as the old cables did. Just as smooth shifting and reduced radius by a ton.

I should have ordered the CCX17911 but I attached a hose clamp to the control end and wedged it in to make it work. The cable seems to be extremely high quality. If you have not ordered yours, take the control end apart and look to see if you have a plastic barrel over the copper tubing that holds the cable in place. If so, order the "79" version. If your cable just has copper tubing with some grooves in it, order this one.

Changed throttle and shift cable on my mercury 150 with Gen II control. I would have preferred Mercury parts, but needed something in a hurry. Ordered the 20’ length and when they arrived I did a side by side comparison and everything seemed to match up with the original Mercury cables. No problems installing in control box or engine. Have only been using these cable less than a week and the one word that comes to mind is smooth. Hopefully they continue to hold up.

When you have a boat that needs a tight turn, these are the cables you need. They say it can make a 4" turn, yes they can. Worked great on my Bass Boat, and they are so smoooooooth.
