These stands are very good. I have purchased 8 of these stands for use in the classroom with my percussion ensemble. They are sturdy and adjust well. I will be purchasing more.

The metal is honestly cheap but it does hold up. It's also cheap for a reason. The wing nuts on it could be better and the basket adjuster can come off. Easily fixable if they put a screw and washer under it to stop it from doing that

I was concerned that some reviewers had said this wasn’t a solid stand— it is, with a veryWide base, and is great to stand and play the handpan. Suggestion to put something soft over the plastic snare drum holders for the handpan to rest on (flat) — I used the furniture floor protectors soThey don’t scratch the underside. It’s exactly what I wanted and saved me $. Excellent. Adjusts where you need to, and easy to set up ( or take apart) with carrying bag. Weight is good too.

Note - this won't work for a drum kit very well as it is meant for standing or sitting at a higher seat-height.

This is very unstable and you need to be pretty careful with it because a slight bump against it will tip it over. I only use this for a practice pad because I don't trust it for my snare.

My boys play percussion at school and drum kit at home. For school auditions, they are often test on the snare. Our kit at home has a snare stand for seated play. This stand was perfect for standing play. The height and tilt are adjustable, allowing both boys of very different heights to use the stand.
