The device I was trying to power requires power supply that is 16-24VDC, and 10-24VA. The power supply spec is 24VDC 500mA (or 12VA). Looks like power supply is sufficient to drive the device. However, it did not do anything at all. I was able to power up device on battery power. So my device is working. I also tried both polarities. I can only conclude that the device is Dead on Arrival.

It works perfectly. It comes with a lot of wire too. I'd highly recommend it for a smart video doorbell install.
