The arm wouldn’t connect to the base, just wouldn’t screw in, but luckily I only really needed the base and attached my existing arm to it. The guitars stock base let the arm swing loosely and this product fixed that issue, the arm stays where I want it now. So 3 stars because of the defective arm

This is an exact duplicate of the bar that came with my Floyd Rose Special in size, length, and angle. The only difference is the threaded ring that attaches the bar to the base plate is a hair thicker, but that doesn't matter. If I'm being nitpicky, the threads don't feel quite as smooth as the stock bar, but there were no burs in the threads and it was no problem, just a tiny bit grittier in feel compared to stock, and that may smooth out over time.This also comes with the socket and allen wrench to install in the base plate if yours is missing or damaged. I don't need that, but it's nice to have a spare.The finish looks good. I've replaced the hardware on a few guitars with gold and I've found there are a surprising number of different shades of gold. Some are redder than others, and some are more pale. This is a hair on the pale side, which may be good or bad depending on the parts you're trying to match. But it's definitely gold and the plating looks nice and smooth.

This tremolo arm/whammy bar fits my Floyd Rose bridge quite a bit better than the one it came with! One might assume that over a decade of use, surely the old bar has worn down and that’s why it’s loose now…but it fit this way from day one. Loose, with way too much slack and play in it. Not this one though!This tremolo bar is excellent and so far, the finish seems durable too. Only time will tell if there will be any rusting or pitting. My old bar isn’t rusted, but it is pitted, which is weird because I thought pitting was from rust? Anyway, hopefully this one can go 12 years before it begins to pit or rust like my old one.I definitely recommend this tremolo/whammy bar for anyone with a Floyd bridge! I’m super, super happy with it!
