The brake pedal pad in my Acura RDX had become worn in one spot right down to the metal. The older gentleman who owned the vehicle must have rode the brakes or at least kept his foot on it at all times. The type of wear would suggest that he actually used two feet to operate the pedals; one foot on the gas and the other on the brake. Anyway, I digress. This replacement pedal pad was an exact match to the OEM part and fit perfectly. I had to use a hook set to get it completely over the pedal, but once it went on, it wasn’t coming off again. No movement, tight fit, and exact copy. A great purchase.

Replaced an old worn out one, with this. Serviceable and took a little doing, but when on like it belonged there! It took about 5 minutes to install. Good and solid.

Installed this pad on our 2005 Honda Odyssey. There's not much to it, but it is a rubber pad that appears to be molded the same as the factory pad. It fit snugly, but that is what you want. I did not use any hot water, lubrication, or prying tools - just my hands. I started by inserting the bottom of the pedal first, then working one upper corner in, then across the top to the other upper corner. Make sure the lip on the back of the pad is completely wrapped around the pedal and lies flat and even all around. It was really only slightly difficult, and mostly because of the odd angle and tight fit in front of the driver's seat. You'll be on your knees for a few minutes, so use something soft to kneel on. I didn't time it, but it took about 5 minutes total to remove the old pad and reinstall the new one.

This pedal cover ended up being a perfect fit for my 2001 4cyl Accord LX, but brother, was it a bear to get on. In anticipation of this, I used Vaseline on the insides of the pad to help get it on the metal portion of the brake pedal. I succeeded, but here's a tip: give the inside "slot" of the pad moderate coating of Vaseline, and when use a SMALL, FLAT screwdriver to help get it on to the pedal. Because the cutout for the pedal is smaller than the pedal itself, get it on has to be done slowly, working you way around it until you have one last corner to pry up and over the pedal. Took me about 20 min., but that sucker ain't coming off. BTW, the original pad on my pedal had worn completely through on one corner, and my foot would slip from the brake right over to the accelerator! The old pad also came off with almost no effort. Not good, so if yours needs replacing, do it today!
