Installed this cover since the original one was cracked/deteriorated. After about a week on the install, the PCV valve (included with the cover) started leaking oil, a stream was running down the valve after a few hundred miles. I ordered a new PCV valve from the local dealership and when I removed the old valve it was full of metal shavings from the manufacturing process. Out of precaution I then removed the Dorman cover, washed and flushed it out and found more shaving inside the upper tin baffle inside the valve cover. Very disappointed in this cover, hoping there's no shavings that got inside the motor. Put your money into the OEM valve cover, or the very least, remove the PCV valve and flush this unit out very thoroughly before install!Photo is of the shavings I pulled out of the PCV valve opening in the valve cover with a towel before flushing the valve cover. These were the larger ones, there were more much smaller ones as well.

Item as described and it works but packaging wasn't great. The thing was just thrown inside a box with no padding at all and box came torn and open luckily there was no damage.

This was a great alternative to the $450 OEM part as a bonus came preloaded with tube seals and gasket. Appears to be very well build and fit like a glove on a 2016 Odyssey.

The fit and quality where great but the packaging needs to be better. Maybe need to put some air packs between the back side of cover and box to keep it from crushing inward. The box mine came in was all torn up and beat up but fortunately the valve cover was ok. The shipping was fast and I got it pretty quick.

I had no issues with this valve cover,shipped and sold by Amazon is the way to go for authenticity per Dorman chat support.This was $145 when i bought in Nov 2024 compared to $315 at nearby parts stores for Dorman part#.It was shipped in cardboard box with no bag around the valve cover itself, this led to the preinstalled gasket on the unit having dozens of specs of cardboard material that i had to use oil to clean off since they were bonded to the gasket, A bit annoying to have to do simply because they don't have this in a plastic bag before putting in a cardboard box.

I acutally bought this Doorman brand and another and only used the Doorman cuz it seemed machined better.
