Until I am ready to buy a new a/c compressor we put this on because the clutch was cycling on and off and the truck is 20 years old anyways this bolted on in less than an hour. Don't worry about the long bolts included they go through the aluminum mount no problem, also used an included spacer to line up the pulley. You will need 3 washers though if you don't want the bolt head to bite into the base. Not a permanent solution I was trying to eliminate a loud bearing noise somewhere and now I know it's the water pump, my bad, a clean install anyways and make sure you depressurize the a/c line first! Of course I ignored that part of the instructions

I installed this on a friend’s 99 Dodge pickup and was a bit dissapointed by a few things:First, the hardware it came with was metric and was waaay too long. The correct thread was standard and it needed shorter bolts.Second, it came with no washers.Third, the bushings that came with the mount were a joke. They were far too small for the large size of the holes in the adapter, but I put them in anyway to take up some of the slack in the holes. I also used large washers so the clamping force was over a wider area.Overall, yes it worked, but I expect better from Dorman, this was poorly engineered for my application.

Worked on my 99 Ram 1500 5.2L , did the job deleted ac pulls, but for the price think the guide pins would have worked better. There is a fair amount of play within the bolts had to use a straight edge along the other pull-ups to line everything up

This was officially the last OEM replacement part I purchase from Amazon until they start exercising some quality control in these "replacement parts". I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited. The motor and transmission Jeep used were from the Dodge Ram 1500 and 2500. In order to use this part the instructions tell you to remove the pulley and put in the included spacer behind it. Here's were you WILL run into issues. The Pulley bearing is epoxied on the shaft. After mounting it and trying to pry the pulley off I had to resort to a hammer. The pulley is made of plastic and it did sustain some dings but nothing that impedes its functionality. The pulley shaft is not long enough to accommodate this and resulting in about 1/4 of the pulley not being on the shaft which they correct with a washer. It's this multi-vehicle approach that results in poor fitment for your application. I'll try to get back to leave you, good folks, a proper view (pics) of the problem this part can present.

Bolts supplied are metric. Won't work. Go buy some 5/16" coarse thread bolts that are 1and1/2" long. 3 needed. Use the short bushings supplied and insert in bracket. After installation remove the pulley bolt and place the spacer included behind the pulley on the bolt. The bolt has loctite on it. Hard to remove.

Not impressed at all with this product. Very Cheaply made, Plastic pulley, Bolts were the wrong thread. Not a good buy when I have to consider buying proper bolts to fit it at a Hardware store. Also for the 1997 Ram 1500, I decided to purchase a metal pulley to put on as I don't trust that plastic one.

Cheap plastic pulley, no bueno! Also bolts were the wrong thread......frustrating having to go hardware store for correct bolts after the a.c. comp was already out. Also needs washers none included.
