This did not fit my 1986 Ford Ranger, although the packaging says it does. The hole on the tailgate end is too big, and the cable slides off the head of the bolt.I paid double here, getting only one tailgate cable for the price of two from other vendors. I thought the higher price would buy a better product. I was wrong.

I have an '89 Ranger Supercab 4WD. Took two minutes to install and works perfectly.Looked exactly like original equipment.

The site said it was the right size. The package said it was the right size. It wasn't. The opening in the side that attaches to the tailgate was larger than the attaching bolt. I had to cut off the old ends and use them as a washer.
